Ivy League Player of the Week for week ending April 7, 2009
Ivy League All-League Second Team
2009 Dartmouth MVP
Ivy League All-Academic Team

........
Dartmouth senior, Ashley Gleason (Costa Mesa/Calif) helped the North Division-leading Big Green to a historic sweep of Princeton and then a split with Cornell last weekend.  The co-captain continues to be a bright spot for Dartmouth as she's second overall in batting while hitting .471 last weekend.  She recorded eight hits, including a double and two home runs while knocking home 10 RBI.  Gleason had timely hits during the sweep of the Tigers.  In the first game, she got down a sacrifice bunt in the fith inning which put runners at second and third before a single brought two of the five runs in during that frame, helping the Big Green come from behind and take the lead.  In Game Two, she doubled in two runs during an eight-run fifth inning as the Big Green again had to rally.  In the first game against Cornell her walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning gave Dartmouth the victory as the Big Green defeated the Big Red for the first time since 2006. (***on a side note - the pitcher for Princeton when Ashley hit the walk-off grand slam was Michelle Tolfa, a former Corona del Mar opponent***)
........

Dartmouth won the North Division and Cornell won the South Division of the Ivy League.  Dartmouth traveled to Cornell for the Ivy League Championship on May 2 & 3, 2009.

Dartmouth lost to Cornell 4 - 0 (Ashley had a single)
