Congratulations to Newport's Varsity team who came in second place in the Sunset League.

An even bigger congratulations to Varsity for being the repeat winners of the Tournament of Champions!!!!

Newport beat Louisville in the first round of the play-offs 2 - 0.  Twin sisters Claire and Kimmy Ramser scored a goal each in that game!  Lauren Grupe and Claire Layton had the assists.

Newport faced Glendora in the second round and won 3 - 0.  The goals were scored by Lauren Chandler, Claire Layton, and Mary Yeager!  Lauren Grupe, Amy Kanotz, and Claire Ramser had the assists for those goals.

Once again, Newport faced Huntington Beach in the championship game and beat the Oilers 1 - 0 for the second year in a row!  Lauren Grupe scored the only goal needed for Newport!
