ANNOUNCEMENTS 

Fall Soccer

The final Recreation session will be on Saturday, November 7th. This will be Rec Morning, a new tradition for the Club. Parents can stop by the stand after 8:30 for free coffee and donuts to help you start your soccer morning. There will be face painting and an awards ceremony for the players. See you Saturday!  

Travel teams will play games on November 7th.  Scheduled games are listed below. Please be sure to check with your coach in case rained out games from past weeks have been rescheduled. 

Saturday, November 7th 

U10 Girls (Mary) @ East Lyme, 11:00 am. 

U12 Boys (Kevin) v. East Lyme @ Calkins Park, 12:30 pm. 

U12 Girls (Steve) @ East Lyme, 12:30 pm. 

U14 Girls (Steve) v. Groton @ Calkins, 2:30 pm.

Please see below for specifics about each program. 

Recreation Program 

The Recreation Program for boys and girls ages 4-8 meets every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. at Calkins Park. It will run from September 12 until November 7th. The fee is $30 for New London residents and $40 for non-residents. 

Travel Program

The Travel Program for boys and girls ages 8-14 involves two practices per week (Tuesday/Thursday) and a game on weekends. Fees for the Travel Program are $60 and a copy of the player’s birth certificate is required for all new players.  

There is a $120 family maximum for both programs.

Board meetings are held monthly. We are still accepting a limited number of members. Please contact Steve Smith at steve@newlondonsoccerclub.org for more information. 

General Information

The New London (Connecticut) Soccer Club is a non-profit organization that functions with volunteer coaches and administrators. It operates under the general auspices of the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA). The Club is open to all youth players ages 3 to 14 in the town of New London. Home games and practices are at Calkins Field, Riverview Avenue, New London. The Club consists of over 250 New London youth. 

Mission: The mission of the New London Soccer Club is to promote the sport of soccer while encouraging fair play and good sportsmanship. Our goal is to encourage positive mental and physical growth of our youth while attaining and improving soccer skills and building friendships. 

Sessions: We offer a Fall session which begins in early September and runs through the first week of November, and a Spring session which runs from late April to early June. A winter session is offered in early January for players aged 5-8. One registration covers all three sessions, and players can participate in any or all sessions. A soccer camp for greater skill development is available in the summer in conjunction with UK Soccer. Different registration and fees apply.
