Welcome to the New London (Connecticut) Soccer Club

NLSC is now on Facebook. Search for New London Soccer Club and click on Like! You can also follow us on Twitter - @NewLondonSoccer.

Summer Camp: Our summer camp is scheduled for August 12 - 16th, 2013. UK International is offering a $25 discount on registrations received between February 15th to 28th. Go to for registration.

Good news - Calkins Park is part of the plan to improve the city parks and fields.  Money has been bonded and plans are underway to secure a contractor who will begin planning the construction.  Plans include rehab of the field space, remodeling the bathrooms as well as other improvements to the larger park. The field will be closed for the next year.  We have begun reaching out to identify other field space and will make every effort to minimize the disruption to the rec and travel programs. Check back for updates.

Developmental Academy - The Southeast Connecticut Junior Soccer Association is holding a developmental academy for players at the u-11 level. Please visit for more information.

General Information

The New London (Connecticut) Soccer Club is a non-profit organization that functions with volunteer coaches and administrators. It operates under the general auspices of the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA). The Club is open to all youth players ages 3 to 14 in the town of New London. Home games and practices are at Calkins Field, Riverview Avenue, New London. The Club consists of over 250 New London youth.

Mission: The mission of the New London Soccer Club is to promote the sport of soccer while encouraging fair play and good sportsmanship. Our goal is to encourage positive mental and physical growth of our youth while attaining and improving soccer skills and building friendships.

Sessions: We offer a Fall session which begins in early September and runs through the first week of November, and a Spring session which runs from late April to early June. A winter session is offered in early January for players aged 5-8. One registration covers all three sessions, and players can participate in any or all sessions. A soccer camp for greater skill development is available in the summer in conjunction with UK Soccer. Different registration and fees apply.

Recreation Program

The fall Recreation Program for boys and girls ages 4-8 meets every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. at Calkins Park. It will run for eight weeks starting in early September. In the spring it will run for 6 weeks starting in May, and sessions will begin at 8:30 am. The fee is $30 for New London residents and $40 for non-residents. The fee covers both sessions.

Travel Program

The Travel Program for boys and girls ages 8-14 involves two practices per week (Tuesday/Thursday) and a game on weekends. Fees for the Travel Program are $70 (includes registration and uniform costs) and a copy of the player’s birth certificate is required for all new players.

There is a $120 family maximum for both programs.
