NevadaODP: Welcome

nevada
US Youth Soccer ODP, designed to identify and develop a pool of players from which U.S. National Teams may be selected, is the original ODP program. US Youth Soccer ODP is the only elite player development program that can claim members of Major League Soccer and the former Women's United Soccer Association, as well as a majority of current and past national and youth team members, as alumni. And, with programs in all 55 State Associations as well as regional and national championships and participation in international tournaments, US Youth Soccer ODP continues to lead the way in elite player identification and development.

2009 REGIONAL ODP CHAMPIONSHIP IN PHOENIX

Tournament rosters have been selected. Players will receive notification upon selection and will be asked to attend this event. If you have been contacted by ODP, please register and make your payment online immediately. Only the select players are required to pay the tournament fee. If you have not been contacted, you are considered an alternate.

2009 Player pools have been announced!

Upon selection, a Nevada Olympic Development player is expected to participate in all team activities. These players will be asked to formally commit to ODP by submitting the required $200 Pool Fee. The pool fee is used for coaching fees and training kits. Players will be selected for activities that may include exhibition matches, invitational tournaments, and sub-regional and regional camps. Players that are not selected to the state team roster for Regional camp, still have the opportunity to attend camp as composit players. If players are not available for a particular event, another player from the pool may replace them.

Players are expected to take their participation in the program seriously, and should be committed to improving their individual soccer skills as well as improving as team players. Players are subject to the Olympic Development Code of Conduct upon entry into the program at the state association level.
Player pools for the youngest age groups have an almost no-cut policy. The intent is to introduce these young players to a qualified coaching staff and the ODP experience.  Events are minimal but one aspect of this program is the opportunity to receive additional training and development. Selections will be made for events such as the Utah ODP Tournament and "tentatively" a California sponsored regional camp.

Open try-outs for 92,93, and 94 age groups

Both Boys and Girls in these age groups are welcome to compete in the Invitational State Combine scheduled for December 20th and 21st at Betty Wilson Soccer Complex. Pre-registration is recommended and the fee is $30 dollars. Players who register the same day will pay $55 and must check-in for registration at 9am either day of the event. A copy of birth certificate and insurance (if covered) are required.

Try-outs for 97, 96, and 95 age groups underway

The December Combine is an invitation only event for the select players in these age groups. Players from the Southern and Northern regions of Nevada come together to compete for positions in the State team pool. Upon selection, a state association ODP player is expected to participate in all activities of their team. These activities may include exhibition matches, invitational tournaments and regional camps. If players are not available for a specific event, they may be replaced by another player from their player pool.

Players are expected to take their participation in the program seriously, and should be committed to improving their individual skills as well as improving as a team player. Players are subject to the ODP Code of Conduct upon entry into the program at the state association level.
