NASHUA FINISHES UNDEFEATED!!

 CAPTURES MVC REGULAR SEASON TITLE

In Merrimack Valley Conference action, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater
Nashua (BGCGN) wrestling travel team finished the regular season at 7-0,
capturing the MVC championship with dual meet wins over Billerica and
Dracut at Nashua North High School..  The BGCGN squad is selected through
competitive "wrestle offs" in 16 weight classes held weekly between youth
wreslters from BGCGN's three "at school" squads at Elm St., Fairgrounds and
Pennichuck Middle Schools, the Nashua Catholic Jr. High team, and the BGCGN
"youth" (K-5th) grade team.

Nashua topped Billerica 68-9, and beat Dracut 69-16.  Nine Nashua wrestlers
scored victories in both meets: Keegan Mills (BGCGN, 72 lbs.) Kevin
Melanson (Pennichuck, 77 lbs.),  Ryan Rice (Pennichuck, 87),  Marcel
Laplante (Nashua Catholic, 92), Kyle Ducharme (Elm St., 102) Connor
Sullivan (Nashua Catholic, 117), Connor McBride (Pennichuck, 130) Joe
Chimelski (Nashua Catholic, 140), and Evan Manns (Nashua Catholic, 155).

Posting one win over the two meets were Ryan Jigargian (BGCGN, 67 lbs.) ,
Cameron Bennett (Elm St., 82), Jake Valeri (Fairgrounds, 97), John Sweeney
(Elm St., 107), Dean Kennedy (Elm St., 112),  Zack Seppi (Fairgrounds,
122), and Wilson Pellott (Elm St., 155).

The MVC season concludes next weekend with the MVC Tournament in North
Andover, MA.
