Kip Skibicki’s two run homer led the offense. Dave Mastro, Scott Dougherty, Cory Firmani Kevin Czachorowski and Constantine Fournaris added base hits.

Naamans got on the board in the 3rd inning when Michael Julian opened with a walk and scored on Dougherty's hit. This set the stage for Skibicki's two run homer and a 3-0 Naamans lead.

In the 5th inning Naamans added two more runs. Jarad Carney legged out an infield grounder, Zack Lopes worked a walk and "C" Fournaris got a single to load the bases. Vince Russomagno got hit by a pitch to force in one run and Lopes scored on Mastro's sharp ground ball to third.

Tim Marcin's two run single in the 2nd inning proved to be the game winner as Naamans advances to play Middletown tomorrow night.

Scott Dougherty pitched another gem allowing only two hits while racking up eleven strikeouts.

Naamans scored one run in the top of the first inning as Dave Mastro who walked, eventually scored on Kip Skibicki's ground out. Lower Sussex tied it up 1-1 in the bottom of the first as Chris Conover who walked scored on Luis Barrientos' base hit.

Danny Frate opened the second inning with a walk and Kevin Czachorowski followed with a single to center to set the stage for Marcin. Marcin's line drive single to center scored Jarad Carney who was running for Frate and then as the ball skipped past the center fielder Czachorowski raced home to put Naamans up 3-1. Lower Sussex added a run in the third as Matt Kleinstuosk walked and eventually scored on a wild pitch.

Naamans came close several times to busting the game open, but some great defensive plays by Lower Sussex held Naamans in check as they stranded 10 baserunners in the game. Dave Mastro, Scott Dougherty, Kip Skibicki and Michael Julian also had hits for Naamans.

Dave Mastro tossed a three hitter with fourteen strikeouts to pick up the win.

Kip Skibicki went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double; Scott Dougherty had three hits and Vince Russomagno two hits including a double to lead Naamans. Mastro chipped in with a solo home run and Michael Julian and Danny Frate added base hits.

Naamans opened the scoring in the third inning as Danny Frate and Tim Marcin got base hits and Michael Julian walked to load the bases. Frate was forced out at the plate on Mastro's ground ball, then Scott Dougherty singled home Marcin and Julian. Masto's delayed steal of 3rd confused the defense and Mastro raced home on an errant throw.

Naamans added two more in the fourth with Julian getting the key hit to put Naamans up 5-0. Middletown scored its lone run in the 4th on Jay Croft's home run.

Naamans quickly answered in the top of the fifth and Kip Skibicki's two run homer.

Mastro opened the 6th inning with a home run. Dougherty followed with a base hit and scored on Skibick's double. Vince Russomago greeted a new Middletown pitcher with a double to score Skibicki.
Mastro struck out the last six batters he faced to seal the win.

A First State first - Delaware blasts way to LLWS
Pennsylvania jumped out to a 2-0 lead on Ryan Deitrich's homer with a mate aboard in the second inning.

Delaware quickly countered with 2 in the third inning to knot the score. Kevin Czachorowski opened the inning with a double, moved to third on Michael Julian's ground out and scored on Tim Marcin's ground out. Dave Mastro followed with a solo home run.

Danny Frate's leadoff homer in the fourth put Delaware ahead to stay at 3-2 and Kip Skibick's homer highlighted a three-run uprising in the fifth. Mastro's solo home run in the sixth inning added to Delaware's clinching victory.

Scott Doughterty struck out eight and walked just one. He allowed just three hits over the first five innings before Christian Walker doubled home Pennslyvania's final tally in the last frame.

The key defensive play in the game was Delaware's 6-4-3 (Vince Russomagno to Jared Carney to Dave Mastro) double play in the final inning to shut down Pennsylvania's comeback attempt.
