Hey fellas, Good luck in tomorrows game and throughout the tournament. Wish i could be there. I know a lot of you have been wondering where i have been.
Let's just say LIFE has finally caught up with me and other obligations have put me in a position where I'm gonna have to sit this tournament out.
The month of October was crazy month for me. A lot going on in my life. Besides the fact i was sick the first two weeks of October. My brother also got married on Halloween, i was the best man and that title comes with a lot of responsibility assisting with all the wedding plans. The bachelor party and wedding gift have left me strapped for cash. Midterms and terms papers for school have me confined to my bedroom.
Need less to say i must get my finances squared away and finish strong in the classroom this semester before i can return to the team.
But as they say in Hollywood, The show must go on!

| Practice was a blast liast night.....i love amping up the squad to make practice more enjoyable and it gives guys something to look forward to next week!! Lets go out there sunday and kick some ass fellas because the more games we win, the more parties shawn will through lmao. | ahhhh snap fellas now i kno alot of u r gonna look at wat shawn wrote n be like pshhhh yea rt thas never gonna happen realize this fellas Shawn is gna get 20-35 guys to play cz theres not person on Long Island that wudnt wanna go across the country and play another team even if its with a completely different team! So keep that in mind Shawn has now given us a set timetable n im sure u all loved this HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT but we gta make it happen! OK just got off the Phone with my contact from the Wild West Football League in Vegas...Our game is tentatively scheduled for 2nd or 3rd week in June as they finish their spring season right around where we finish ours. That being said I am going to limit the travel roster to guys who have paid me in full. Yes guys who owe money that means you. I realize although we would all love to go to Vegas with 100% of our guys, some guys aren't going to get the money in. Whether the issue is getting it in on time or they just flat out wont prioritize this and therefore wont afford it. I am giving you guys almost 8 months warning...Figure the trip will be no less than $400 I will need $200 before January 1st. That is a HARD deadline. Guys I am NOT AT ALL EXAGGERATING the finality of that deadline. We can go with 15 guys or we can go with 35. Up to you if you want to make this a priority. We voted ALMOST UNANIMOUSLY that we wanted this trip to happen. Here it is...If you have to give $10 a week by the time we take off you will have paid. If you try to wait till the last minute most of you will be seeing Vegas through our Facebook updates...
That being said additionally we are NOT PLAYING ANY OTHER EXHIBITION GAMES THIS YEAR...Its Grid Iron Tourney play or Regular season. Therefore we can consolidate our resources and play in games where there is something to play for. We were 11-7 in games that mattered and 1-4 in games that didnt. Some guys don't take the exhibition games seriously and that REALLY puts a damper on our game plan when the other teams are playing in what amounts to their "SUPER BOWL" We aren't playin outside of tourney or regular season play... Don't ask me it wont happen, I don't care who you guys wanna play.
Right now we have to focus on the Winter tourney. Immediately following the conclusion of that we will be having a MANDATORY TEAM MEETING. I need everyones input at that meeting on how we will operate in the future. At that meeting we will also discuss and plan some new events...1st being our awards dinner...We need to get our families involved in this and an awards dinner would be AWESOME. I will have ideas for you guys to work out by the meeting.
We are playing the CDFL Elite for seeding in this tourney. They run a spread O and 40 D...Lets get ourselves prepared...Practice id wednesday (6:30 Tonight) and Saturday 1 pm...The game is tentatively a 5pm kickoff on Sunday. It may be later as there are some other events going on at their field that day.
We need to muster NO LATER THAN 330 in Rockland county...That about 1 hour from us. Its already confirmed they wear white so we will wear black. I need ALL OLD WOLFPACK BLACKS and Demon Knight black jerseys on hand to see what we need...New Jerseys have been ordered and we will be in full uniform the following week..
Guys you all have a bad taste in your mouth playin a close game to the team that is now in the Championship game. Well let that motivate you to elevate your level of commitment...See you all at practice...now I dont have to talk much after we break... |
