Rules for District Tournament Play
1. Each field is neutral.
2. Home team is decided by a toss of the coin, winner has choice of either home team or choice of dugout (not both).
3. No team shall have access to the game field prior to 1/2 hour before game time.
4. Each team shall have ten minutes on the field to warm up.
5. Each manager shall present to the field tournament director their roster and pitching record prior to the start of the game.
6. If there is no official scorekeeper, the home team shall keep the official book.
7. The managers and umpires shall go over the ground rules prior to the start of the game. There are no local rules, only the official tournament rules and rule book are in effect.
8. If there is a protest please go to the rule book before the next pitch.
9. Contact the appropriate ADA as soon as the game has been completed. This is required by both managers and the field tournament director.
10. Contact the Poughkeepsie Journal Sports with the results before 9 PM.

11. NEW RULE: Pitch count for baseball, all levels. The Tournament Directors shall appoint one person to keep track of all pitch counts. This should be reviewed with both managers and umpires at the end of each half inning.
12. Mandatory Playing rule: (for Juniors and below). Based on the number of players at the field the following applies: 9 - 12 ball players 6 consecutive outs and one at bat
13 - 14 ball players 3 consecutive outs and one at bat.
