What are the registration fees?

Flag Football:  $105.00;  Tackle Football:  $215.00;  Cheerleading: $215.00

What is covered by the registration fees?  Flag Football: Game Jersey, Team Shirt, Trophy, End of Season Banquet Admission, ID Card, and Insurance *Game Pants Provided by Raiders but are RETURNED at the end of the season.Tackle Football: Game Uniform (includes game jersey and pants), Team Shirt, Trophy, End of Season Banquet Admission, ID Card and Insurance. *Helmets are provided by the Raiders but are RETURNED at the end of the season.Cheerleading: Uniform (includes top, skirt, bloomers and socks), Team Shirt Trophy, End of Season Banquet Admission, and Insurance

When does practice begin?  Practice begins August 1st. All participants will be contacted by their respective coaches if this date changes. Practice is held 5 days a week (Mon through Fri) until school begins, then will be reduced to 3 days a week (usually Mon, Tues, and Thurs). Please remember that coaches can change practice dates and times, this information will be on the website. Also, after the time change in October, practice times do change.

Where do the Raiders practice?  The Raiders practice at HB Zachry Middle School. Zachry is located at 9410 Timber Path, San Antonio, TX.

Where do the Raiders play their games?  All games are on Saturdays. Home games are played at Zachry. Away games are played throughout the Greater San Antonio area. Schedules and locations will be on the website once they are available from the San Antonio Pop Warner Football Conference. Additionally, coaches will have copies of the schedule as well to hand out if needed.

Why do we need to provide original copies of paperwork?  The Pop Warner Little Scholars require the paperwork be maintained in a specific way. These rules apply to every Pop Warner organization in the country. If paperwork for a specific participant is not maintained in the proper fashion, the participant can be removed from his or her division, according to National Pop Warner Little Scholars rules.

How long is the season?  The Raiders play an 7-9 game season, Labor Day weekend is opening weekend nationwide. The last game of the regular season is in late October. Bowl Games (Cubs/Tiny Mites/Mitey Mites) and Playoff Games (Jr. Pee Wee and Pee Wee) continue through November and Nationals take place the first or second week of December in Orlando, Florida.

Do we have a Homecoming Game?  Homecoming will be determined once the schedule is released. Check the website for this information.

What is the screening process for Coaches, Trainers, etc? Anyone, over 18 years of age, having ANY contact with the children in the capacity of Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Coach Trainee, Team Parent, and Board Member is required to have a Criminal Background Check done. This is done before the season begins, and is required by the Pop Warner Little Scholars.  

What can I do to help the organization?  The Raiders are in need of additional Executive Board Members to help with the upcoming 2007 Season and beyond. There are other volunteer opportunities available including:Cheerleading Coaches, Spirit Merchandise Sales, Concession Coordinator, Field Manager, etc.
