Northwest Nationals B94 Red: Welcome

This is a BU-15 Premier soccer team for boys born on, or after August 1, 1994 with the Northwest Nationals Premier Soccer Club coached by Teddy Mitalas. Northwest Nationals is a member of the South Snohomish County Youth Soccer Association (SSCYSA) and within District 1. Our team primarily includes players from Snohomish, King, and Pierce County but also includes players from as far away as Bellingham. Our coaching staff is always looking to develop quality players through training and playing against top level competition. Our Coach
Teddy Mitalas
As a soccer player, Teddy Mitalas (teddy@starfiresports.com) has over 38 years of playing experience including Professional and Amateur Cups. He was a member of the Seattle Pacific University men's team in 1980 and 1981. In 1979-1980 he joined the Men's Seattle Sounders and in 1984-1985 Mitalas traveled to Athens, Greece to play in the Greek First Division with AEK. Mitalas was also a member of the U.S. Olympic team which boycotted the 1980 Summer Games.
As a coach, Mitalas has a USSF 'B' license and has coached at all levels of the game. Shorecrest High School was fortunate to have him as a head coach for the boys and girls programs for 18 successful years and now is Coaching at Shorewood HS Girls. With the two teams, Mitalas has been to the Washington State 4A Final Four 12 times and the State Championship 6 times. His teams were Champions in 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, and 2005. He was also the head coach at Edmonds Community College for 6 years where he won 3 NWAACC Championships. He was the USASA Far West Regional Sports Festival Coach in 2001, 2002, and 2003 and coached the Gold Medal Champions in 2001. Currently Mitalas is the Director of Soccer Operations at Starfire Sports. He lives in Lynnwood, WA with his wife Cindy and their three kids, Brandon, Alexandra, Christopher.
