Sunday, June 22 2008 Allstars Announced, click this link to see the list NWLL All Stars Teams and Selection Process NWLL sponsors All Star Teams for players above nine years of age. The All Star teams represent NWLL in the District 8 competition, with winners going on to state, regional or even the Little League World Series. All Star Teams: Minor League - 9/10 Year Olds Major League - 11/12 Year Olds Junior League - 13/14 Year Olds Senior League - 15/16 Year Olds All players are eligible for selection to the All Star Team for their respective age. For players under 12, the players will vote for the first nine spots on the team. All Star Team manager and coaches then select players for the final roster spots. Team rosters usually have 12 to 14 players. The voting will take place during the last two weeks of the regular season. For the older two squads - players 13/14 and 15/16 - try-outs will be held, with the manager selecting the League’s representatives. District All Star Tournaments usually begin the last weekend of June or the first weekend of July. Check out the calendar section of this web site for this year's dates. Important Note to Players: The All Star Season will extend at least to the middle of July. It will continue on if the team advances to State, Regional and National Tournaments. We encourage you to plan your vacation accordingly if you are interested in All Stars. Important Note to all managers and coaches interested in coaching or managing an All Star team: You must have successfully completed Dr. Smoll’s Sportsmanship and Coaching Clinic within the past three years. NWLL will pay these registration fees. |
