BANDITS SHUT OUT BADEN

The boys continue to build momentum going into the tail end of the season, in hopes of securing a spot in the 16U Elite League Championship Tournament, shutting down Baden Baseball last night 5-0.  The Bandits will compete this weekend in the Triple Crown 4th of July Regionals.

BANDITS SEEM BACK ON TRACK

After a couple weeks of missing players due to injury and other commitments, the Bandits were all together again for last night's game against the league leader O'Brien Auto Group.  The boys came out ready to battle the top team and when the smoke cleared, the Bandits came out on top with a final score of 8-7.  Hopefully the boys can pull it all back together and play strong through the remaining season of league games and tournaments.

BANDITS SHOW WELL IN PALOUSE SUMMER SERIES DISPITE BEING SHORT HANDED!

Going into this tournament down three players, the Bandits had their work cut out for them but got off to a good start defeating the Northshore Twins 6-5 on Friday night. Saturday brought a double header with the first game scheduled for 5:30 PM and the second game scheduled for 9:00 PM.  In the first game against the Laces, the boys led for most of the game however, Laces was able to come from behind in the 7th inning to win 2-1.  The boys took out their frustrations in the next game against Baden Baseball.  Playing under the lights at the WSU stadium, the boys defeated Baden 16-1.  Finishing pool play 2-1, the Bandits were the #4 seed making it into bracket play on Sunday.  First game pitted the Bandits up against the #1 seed Blaze Baseball.  The boys came ready to play and shocked the undefeated Blaze team by shutting down their previously powerful offense and sending them home early by beating them 3-1.  Now on to the Championship game which would be a rematch with the Laces!  Tied up in the 5th inning at 4, the Laces were able to string together the hits needed to defeat the Bandits 7-4.  The boys played hard and should be proud of the 2nd place finish in a tournament filled with elite baseball teams.

TIME CHANGE FOR NEXT WEDNESDAY'S GAME AGAINST THE BOMBERS

The start time for next Wednesday's game at the University of Washington has been moved from 7:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

BANDITS LOSE TO MERCHANTS

A struggling bullpen and only four hits resulted in the second loss of the season for the Bandits who are now 7-2.  The Boys will leave for Pullman, WA early Friday morning to compete in the Palouse Summer Series at WSU.  First game is Friday afternoon at 5:30 PM against the Northshore Twins.

BANDITS BOUNCE BACK TO SHUT OUT THE STARS!

After less than stellar performances this last weekend,  the boys bounced back tonight shutting out the Seattle Stars 3-0!  The Bandits are now 7-1 in league play and are scheduled to play a very tough Kirkland Merchant team this Wednesday night at the University of Washington!

BANDITS SPLIT DOUBLE HEADER

The boys came out flat and unfocused against the Federal Way Buzz who quickly took advantage of several errors and a struggling bullpen to hand the Bandits their first defeat this season with a final score of 3-4. The second game wasn't much better however, the boys finally seemed to show signs of life in the late innings beating the Buzz 8-5. League record now stands at 6-1.  Play continues tonight against a very good Seattle Stars team so let's hope the boys are sharp.  The game is at Interlake High School and the first pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

NW BANDITS 16U REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN LEAGUE PLAY!

The Boys continue to play well beating a very strong Kent Bulldogs team twice today in a double header at MTHS.  The first game was close as it took the boys a while to get going and come from behind to win 5 - 4 however, the second game was all Bandits with a final score of 13-0!!  Two more games tomorrow against the Federal Way Buzz!

BANDITS BACK IN ACTION!

The 16U Bandits are back in action tomorrow after a few days without games.  Saturday, we have a double header at MTHS.  We will be playing a very tough Kent Bulldog team twice. The first game begins promptly at 10:00 am and the second game is scheduled to begin at 12:30 pm.  On Sunday, we will be traveling to Federal Way for another double header against the Buzz.  These games will be played at Todd Beamer High School.  Game one is scheduled to begin at noon while the first pitch for game two will be thrown at 3:00pm.  Check the schedule for TBHS address and map.  Both days are supposed to be in the mid to upper 70's so come on out and enjoy the fun!!

16U BANDITS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN LEAGUE PLAY!

The Bandits are off to another good start this season  remaining undefeated after three games in the newly formed Seattle 16U Elite League!  The boys were slow to start in the game, having just played five games in the Triple Crown Memorial Day tournament, but they finally woke up in the fourth inning to beat the RIPS Brewers 17-2!  Next game isn't until Saturday so the boys have some time to rest.  Next weekend is full of action with double headers on Saturday and Sunday!!  Check our schedule for details.

BANDITS LOSE IN FIRST ROUND OF PLAYOFFS

The boys played tough the entire tournament however, through luck of the draw (bad luck) they had to face what will most certainly be the two best teams in the tournament (and the state) during pool play against the Stampede and early in the playoffs against the Puyallup Knights. The boys ended the tournament 3-2 placing 7th out of 22 of the top teams in Washington.  We are a much better team  having faced such tough competition and we would like thank all the teams we played for helping make us better.

BANDITS GO 3-1 IN POOL PLAY AT TRIPLE CROWN

The Bandits have played four error free games in the Triple Crown Memorial Day tournament ending pool play at 3-1.  Their only loss came at the hands of a very good Stampede baseball team yesterday afternoon in which the score remained close at 2-0 through the 5th inning when our relief pitching couldn't seem to get a solid footing and the Stampede took advantage winning 7-1 when it was all over.  The Bandits finsihed as the #7 seed out of 22 teams and advance to the playoffs.  First game is this morning at 8:00 am against the #1 seed. 

On another note, the Bandits played the RIPS Brewers earlier in this tournament and that match up also counted as a league "makeup" game.  The boys beat the Brewers in 5 innings 10-2 so they remain undefeated in league play!

16U BANDITS GO 2-0 ON OPENING DAY AT THE TRIPLE CROWN MEMORIAL DAY TOURNAMENT!!

With only nine players available to play, the 16U Bandits went to compete in one of the toughest brackets in the Triple Crown Memorial Day tournament and ended opening day by going 2-0 beating Bellevue Baseball 5-1 and Seattle Select Purple 2-0!  The Bandits will go into day two of the tournament with a full team for the first time this season!!!

ANOTHER "MAKE-UP" GAME SCHEDULED FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON'S BASEBALL FIELD!!! 

The Bandits organization was able to secure the UW baseball field to play another make-up game!  This game will be against the Seattle Bombers and has been scheduled for June 15.  First pitch will be thrown at 7:30 PM sharp.  Bring your friends and family out for what is sure to be a great game at a great venue!!!

BANDITS TO PLAY IN TRIPLE CROWN MEMORIAL DAY TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND!

We'll still be shorthanded but we have enough players to compete in our first tournament of the season this weekend!  Pool play begins for us on Saturday with our first game scheduled to begin promptly at 8:00 AM (Yes! 8:00AM!!) against Bellevue Baseball Club.  The game is at Magnuson Park in Seattle and the coaches would like EVERY player there NO LATER than 6:55 AM.  Directions to Magnuson Park can be found by going to our "Calendar" section and clicking on the game.  You can also find our complete "Pool Play" game schedule by going to our "Schedules" section. Since we will have just enough players, it is very important that everyone gets enough rest prior to the tournament!

16U BANDITS WIN SEASON OPENER!

The Bandits limped into their season opener against F&M Sports last night down several players due to high school playoffs.  The boys got off to a slow start quickly falling behind 4-0 before finding their rhythm and battling back for the 9-8 win!   Congratulations boys!

16U BANDITS MIGHT PLAY TUESDAY!!!

It appears we might have just enough players to begin our season tomorrow night on our home field!  It will be tough with only nine rostered players available because of high school playoffs but we're hoping to give it a shot!  Stay tuned for updates as they become available!

UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON BASEBALL FIELD ACQUIRED FOR ONE OF OUR "MAKE UP" GAMES!!

Our first "make up" game will be played on the University of Washington's baseball field against the Kirkland Merchants who we were originally scheduled to play on Friday May 20th.  This game is now scheduled for June 8th with the first pitch being thrown at 7:30 PM!  This is sure to be a great experience for players, coaches and fans so come on out and join the fun!!

FIVE 16U BANDIT TEAM MEMBERS CONTINUE THEIR SUCCESS WITH THEIR HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAMS THIS WEEKEND!

The good news is five of our team mates will advance, with their school teams, to the semifinals in    Washington's High School State Tournament next weekend!!   We wish them all continued success!!  The downside to this news is more of our games will have to be postponed.  Check back to this website often for specific game cancelation and schedule updates!

HIGH SCHOOL PLAYOFFS LEAVES BANDITS SHORT HANDED

Not only did we have to cancel our opening day game with the Seattle Stars on Saturday, we had to cancel our game with F&M Sports which was scheduled for this Monday night because several of our boys are still playing ball on their high school teams in the playoffs.  While this can be a little frustrating, we understand and wish all of our players the best of luck and success with their respective teams!  The 16U Bandits will be reunited very soon and ready to play some summer baseball!!

2011 OPENING DAY HAS ARRIVED !!!

NW Bandits 16U kicks off the 2011 season tonight  against the Seattle Stars at Mountlake Terrace High School!  First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.  This is  also the inaugural game for the newly formed Seattle Elite 16U Baseball League so come out and enjoy what is sure to be a great match up!  The Bandits beat the Stars in the season opener last year but it was a battle until the very end.  Let's hope our boys can do it again!!  All players are to report to ABA NO LATER THAN 4:30 PM for pre-game workout.

Update:  Between high school play-offs and illness, the Bandits had only eight players suited and ready to play so the game against the Seattle Stars will be rescheduled.  The teams attempted to get in an unofficial scrimmage however, that was called in the second inning due to rain.

BANDITS WIN ANOTHER TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Our 13U Blue team won the TSC invite on Saturday (May 2nd) !  The boys ten-runned every opponent on their way to the championship game which they won 4-1!! Congratulations to all the players and coaches!

MANDITORY PRACTICE SCHEDULED!!

The coaches have scheduled a MANDITORY practice for this Sunday (May 8th) to prepare for our upcoming season!!  The practice will be held at Bothell High School from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  All players are expected to attend even if you are injured and please remember... If you’re not at least 10 minutes early, YOU'RE LATE!!

2011 PALOUSE SUMMER SERIES TOURNAMENT CONFIRMED FOR JUNE 10-12!

 We have received confirmation that our team will compete in the Palouse Summer Series to take place in Pullman, Washington June 10th through the 12th.  Kris Mahlum has volunteered to arrange for team lodging so please contact her NO LATER THAN THIS MONDAY (May 2) and let her know if you will need a room or not.  This is one of the best tournaments out there so it should be a great weekend!

14U BANDITS WIN USSSA TOURNAMENT

The NW Bandits 14U Team started off the 2011 baseball season by  bringing home the first place trophy from the USSSA Spring Showdown tournament in Lacey, WA. on Sunday Night!  Trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth in the Championship Game, the Bandits scored five runs in the sixth in-route to a 10-4 win against the Diamond Jaxx who were the number one ranked 14U team out of Oregon!

Congratulations to the coaches and the kids!  It's a great Championship for the entire organization!
