TO ALL FRIENDS OF MIKE "BUFF" SCHEMMER

You are invited to remember Buff this Sunday, October 21st, the
anniversary of his death, at Mount Seymour United Church, 1200
Parkgate Avenue, North Vancouver, B.C., from 2:30 pm to 4 pm.

There will be a number of activities at the Memorial, not the least of
which will be the distribution of Mike´s biography, "Take Him to the
Stars". Any of you who thought you knew Mike owe it to yourselves
to read this book; Mike was a deeper and more complex person than
most of us realized, and this book explains how he became the man
he was.

OCTOBER 16, 2007 - UPDATE ON MEMORIAL FOR BUFF
SCHEMMER

Two people intimately connected with Buff´s life have agreed to
perform at the October 21st memorial.

First, Jessi Nicholson, Mike's voice coach for Dregs: Rock Bottom,
and an actress/singer in the production will sing. This won´t be a
capella, but a full performance with the accompaniment of piano,
bass and drums.  She will present for you two of Mike's favorite
songs.

Second, Zapf Paroo will also sing. Mike discovered Zapf through
auditions for a workshop a year before Dregs: Rock Bottom.  Mike
trained and prepared him for auditions in Toronto and New York, and
Zapf has gone on to a full-time career as a singer and actor on the
Broadway stage, and, lately, television.

Jessi is going to rehearse with Zahf and hopes to persuade him to sing
Take
Him To The Stars with her as a duet. (If she can swing him into this it
will
be a knockout. Both have incredible voices!)"

Zapf will also perform 'The Journey Home' from Bombay Dreams
which he sang on Broadway after being selected for a role by Andrew
Lloyd Webber."
