15U Allen Wranglers

The 15U Allen Wranglers will be having tryouts for the 2010 summer season on Saturday, Nov 14 at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch (The Gabe) from 1-3pm.

Our oldest age group within the organization that now fields four teams, this team has had the same coaching staff for the past 7 seasons, and has compiled a 178-70-3 record since its inception, including a 46-13 record in the summer of ’09, concluding with a 5th place (out of 42 teams) finish at the AAYBA National Championship in St. Louis, MO. We strive to push the team to the highest level of play they can achieve as individuals and as a group.  We stress a positive environment for learning the game along with high expectations and effort from both the players and coaches.  Our coaching staff has over 35 seasons of experience combined, with several having achieved a high level of play in college, one a former assistant college coach, and another is an NPA-certified instructor (National Pitching Association).  This organization is strongly committed to the families and players who represent us.

Plans for the coming summer include a schedule of approximately 50 games over 10 weeks (early June-early August), comprised of play in the North Texas Mickey Mantle League and/or the LoneStar League and/or 4-5 selected tournaments.  We will play in a competitive environment that pushes the boys to improve their play.

This is a 15U Elite (Majors) team and, as such, we are looking for 1 or 2 very special players to add to our current roster of 12.  We are looking for a hitter who has the capability of batting in the middle of the order on our team, and must be able to play just about anywhere on the diamond, with high-end catching and/or pitching abilities strongly desired.   If you are interested in attending the tryout, please send your baseball resume to head coach, Wes Tarbox, at wa_2_fst@tx.rr.com for consideration and more information about our club.

11U McKinney Spartans
Welcome to McKinney Spartans Baseball!

The McKinney Spartans are an 11-U AA baseball team within NTBA and we're looking for a few good Spartans to add to our solid "core" group.

Players at this age need quality instruction from coaches who have a proven track record in both playing and coaching baseball...we provide just that.

Spartans will receive quality instruction from a coaching staff with award-winning coaching experience as well as experience playing professional baseball. They learn the importance of being fundamentally "sound" while never putting themselves before their team.
Spartans are dedicated and COACHABLE players who come with dedicated parental and family support.

Even though this will be a highly competitive select baseball team, we believe that competitive baseball should be inclusive and we will strive to keep costs down as much as possible. Our goal is to create a team that can play together from now until high school.

The coaches for the McKinney Spartans are John Jurovic, Todd Stoneking and Reggie Gatewood.

Tryouts will be held throughout December and January.  For more information on how to become a part of Spartans Baseball, contact manager Reggie Gatewood at reggie.gatewood@gmail.com
Also, to learn more about the coaching staff, visit our website at www.leaguelineup.com/spartans1
