Marty Watson to be inducted into NSPBA Hall of Fame !
Evansville In Outlaws CF Marty Watson has been inducted into the NSPBA Hall of Fame. Marty holds the National Single Season Records for HR's and RBI's for a single season in 2001 as he Blasted 53 HR's and had 152 RBI's breaking his own marks of of (49 and 144) from a 2000. Marty has hit 249 career HR's in Semi-Pro games including an awesome feat of (53 in 2001, 49 in 2000 38 in 1999 and 36 in 1998) and has an impressive feat of 11 HR's in one WS (USBC WS 1999). All in all Marty has hit 29 HR's in World Series play NBC (1)Southeast WS (5) NABF Major Division (4) USBC (19) including hitting 3 twice in one game. Marty who played in the Texas Rangers & Chicago White Sox Minor League Organizations has a lifetime .456 average in 13 Semi-Pro Seasons. His greatest HR was a Bomb off the Glass in Busch Stadium 2 ft below Big Mac Land during an Outlaws exhibiton game in St. Louis, Missouri. Marty has been named the U.S. Baseball Congress National Player of the Year 4 Times.

NSPBA Merges with Diamond Yards Incorporated
On Monday September 22nd Diamond Yards Inc. purchased the NSPBA. Diamond Yards Inc. is a Multi-Sports Complex Franchise that is building 2 Sports Complexes in Evansville, Indiana. Diamond Yards East located in (Newburgh, In) will house 2 college size Baseball Fields with Stadium seating and astroturfed infields. Diamond Yards North located on the far East Side of Evansville will house 4 College sized Baseball Fields for Semi-Pro Tournaments. Rickenbach & Odman enshrined in NSPBA Hall of Fame!
The NSPBA Hall of Fame has added 2 more members for 2004. Pennsylvania Legend "Bill Rickenbach coach of the Mechanicsburg, Pa Cardinals and Red Wing, Minnesota's Dave Odman were announced today as the last of the class of 2004. Rickenbach who has coached the Cardinals to over 2300 wins since 1956 is still adding to those numbers and should catch the legendary Howie Minas in 2010. Odman who recently passed away at the age of 58 was the leadng force of the Red Wing Amateur Baseball Association. Dave was the current President of the Minnesota Baseball Assocaition (over 300 teams) and a member of the MBA Hall of Fame. Dave spent many years witht he Red Wing Aces both as a player and a coach along with being a lifetime booster.
