Timothy P. Burdick - Background and History

Bachelor of Science in Economics and Commerce plus more than 30 years experience in the sport of Rugby Football, including 19 years as a certified referee and more than 10 years as Head Coach for men’s and women’s collegiate rugby clubs; plus 8-year experience, as Director of Rugby Operations.

Responsible for all aspects of administrating Club including, on-field student training & instruction, season schedules, travel, uniforms and compliance with league guidelines and University mission. Managed budgets as large as $100,000 annually. Led as many as 40 students to compete in Europe in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2012.

Envisioned and managed projects that benefitted the University, including fundraising in excess of $400,000; campus facilities upgrades including installation of 42 foot-high permanent rugby goal posts and portable outdoor electronic scoreboard.

League winning percentage of .750; overall winning percentage .800; six out of eleven 1st place finishes; two National Championship Playoff appearances, finishing 5th in the Nation twice.

100% student-athlete graduation rate.

Invested in student-athlete welfare and leadership development.
