National Championship Schedule is Set - Semifinals to be Televised

The National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) is pleased to announce that the semifinal matches of its 2012 National Men's Division 3 Championship will be broadcast on FOX Soccer Plus. The semifinals will premier on FOX Soccer Plus on Tuesday, May 1st at 9pm ET and 12am ET (May 2nd) with an encore presentation on Wednesday, May 2nd at 9am ET for the first semifinal and on Thursday, May 3rd at 9am ET for the second semifinal. The 3rd place match and championship final on Sunday, plus both semis, will be available live at www.nscro.org and both live and on demand at www.usarugby.org.

The NSCRO National Championship is making its inaugural appearance at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado. Infinity Park is the first municipally owned rugby-specific stadium in the United States and is the premier rugby facility in the country.

NSCRO wants to acknowledge and thank both the City of Glendale and USA Rugby for their support in making this national television coverage possible.

This will mark the first time that Division 3 national playoffs will be televised, a crucial step for NSCRO as the organization continues its efforts to showcase small college rugby at its best.

Saturday April 28

1 p.m. MT - Franciscan University (Steubenville, Ohio) vs. Salve Regina University (Newport, R.I.)

3 p.m. MT - University of North Florida (Jacksonville, Fla.) vs. California Maritime Academy (Vallejo, CA)

Sunday April 29

11 a.m. MT: 3rd Place

1 p.m. MT: Final

In addition to the television coverage of Saturday's matches, all four matches will be streamed live on usarugby.org as well as on UStream.tv for free public viewing. Details on the UStream channel will be provided on the NSCRO website including a direct feed of the matches in progress. Saturday's coverage will feature multiple cameras and Sunday's final and 3rd Place matches will be a single-camera production with commentary.
