Buffalo Valley / NSB / Slate Lick: 2008 Spring Season Divisions
The T-Ball kids (5-6) play a full 16 game schedule. This Coach Pitch division is for ages 5 and 6. The tee is brought out only when the player is having trouble hitting after a certain number of pitches. This is a fun division and you'll want to bring your camera to capture those funny moments.
Pinto - Baseball (Ages 7 & 8)
The Coach Pitch Pinto division (Ages 7-8) get the kids closer to playing "real" baseball. At NSB we concentrate on fun and learning the game of baseball and this level is where we start to introduce pitching, how to throw the ball properly, the use of the cutoff man and how to play catcher.
Mustang - Baseball (Ages 9 & 10)
The level of play increases in this division. These kids will be playing their games with the other Allegheny River League teams from the surrounding area. At this level we stress the fundamentals of baseball and we use them to grow.
Bronco - Baseball (Ages 11 & 12)
These kids will also be participating in the Allegheny River League playing teams from the surrounding area. They will be playing on 70 foot bases instead of 60. They will be allowed to lead off and the pitcher will have to hold runners on the base if they don't want them to steal.
Pony - Baseball (Ages 13 & 14)
These kids will be participating in the respected Mid-County Butler League playing teams from the surrounding area. They will be playing on 80 foot bases instead of 70.
A & B leagues for Pony (13-14 yrs with new cutoff date of April 30) so less experienced kids get a chance to develop, while more experienced kids are playing competitively. (Target 12 / team).
Colt - Baseball (Ages 15 & 16)
These kids will be participating in the respected Mid-County Butler League playing teams from the surrounding area. They will be playing on 90 foot bases instead of 80 just like the major leagues.
Palomino - Baseball (Ages 17-19)
Very competitive division that plays in the Westmorland County League. Some of the teams involved are: Natrona Heights, Seneca Valley, Kittanning, Worthington, N. Hills, N. Allegheny, Pine Richland, Butler and Knoch.
ASA - Girls Softball (8U)
Girls ages (7 and 8) make up this 8-Under coach pitch softball division. These girls travel to play against other local teams from the surrounding area in the ALLE-Kiski League.
ASA - Girls Softball (10U)
Girls ages (9 and 10) make up this 10-Under fast pitch softball division. These girls travel to play against other teams from the surrounding area in the ALLE-Kiski League.
ASA - Girls Softball (12U)
Girls ages (11 and 12) make up this 12-Under fast pitch softball division. These girls travel to play against other teams from the surrounding area in the ALLE-Kiski League.
ASA - Girls Softball (15U)
Girls ages (13, 14 and 15) make up this 15-Under fast pitch softball division. These girls travel to play against other teams from the surrounding area in the ALLE-Kiski League.
ASA - Girls Softball (18U)
Girls ages (16, 17 and 18) make up this 18-Under fast pitch softball division. These girls travel to play against other teams from the surrounding area in the ALLE-Kiski League.
