General:
The North Jersey Junior Football League, NJJFL, has been in operation since it was organized in 1964. The NJJFL is currently comprised of 14 members representing 12 communities in Bergen, Passaic and Morris counties. The league schedules nearly a thousand (1,000) games per season and has 2,600+ rostered players. Our Members: The NJJFL has re-organized into two divisions, each with seven teams, effective for the 2009 season. Division alignment is adjusted annually based on members' K thru 8 school enrollment. Each team plays a schedule of 9 games, 7 within the division and 2 outside the division in each age group at the "A" level, and 8 at the "B" level. All games are played on an 80 x 40 yard field.2009 Division alignments are as follows: (As of 07/28)

"A," "B" , "C" and "D" Programs: Each member is required to field an "A" Team at the Pee Wee, Junior and Senior level. "B" , "C" and "D" teams (instructional) are optional but very strongly encouraged if the member has over 22 players (for "B") or more than 45 ("B" and "C") in any Age Group. "A" Team In the NJJFL the "A" Team is the competitive team. Team records and standings are maintained. Division championships and trophies are awarded. Post season Play Offs are held and League Championships are determined for each Age Group. Coaches are required to designate a certain number of players, based on the total number of players on their roster as "A" players. These players are ineligible to participate in "B" and "C" games. "B" and "C" Teams
The NJJFL "B" and "C" Programs are unparalleled in this area. The purpose of having "B" and "C" Programs is to provide all players with an opportunity to play more than just a few plays. The "B" and "C" Programs are instructional in nature. It enables the younger and not so gifted players to have their time on the field. No records or standings are kept and NO championships or trophies are awarded. Developing individual self-esteem, sportsmanship and skills are the hallmark of our "B"and "C" Programs.
