Who can get involved
NHYA is run by members of the community. If you would like to coach a team or coordinate a sport, or have a background in business, fund-raising or other organizational talents, we can use you. Please contact Mike Maloney if you are interested in helping out in any way. If you have younger children, please consider joining NHYA so we can continue to offer our sports programs to the children of North Hampton.

Fund-raising
NHYA is a non-profit organization providing organized sports for the children of North Hampton. We run our programs with the registration fees we collect for each sport. Each year we review our costs associated with each program to keep registration fees as low as possible. Due to our concern of cost to the families of North Hampton, we have been able to save a small amount of money for emergency needs.

Knowles Field, which is owned by NHYA, was flooded out in 2006 by excessive rain. We lost everything from the soccer fields to the entire baseball field. This field has provided generations of children from North Hampton a place to play baseball and soccer along with allowing families a place to take their kids to play. Due to the flooding major renovations had to be done to continue the use of the facility. The concession stand had to be gutted due to water damage along with regrading the parking lot. The entire field has been reseeded and the baseball diamond totally replaced. The money needed to renovate was far more than we had in our emergency fund.

With the money NHYA had and private donations we have been able to bring Knowles field back to life. NHYA had to also use monies earmarked for sports programs to complete what had to be done so we could continue to provide a place for our programs. The total amount projected to finish the project and refund the monies used for sports is around $40,000.

If you have had a child or have a child in one of our programs or you are a local business, NHYA is now asking for your support. We are a volunteer-based organization that has given countless hours to provide programs for your children. We are now asking for your help as a community so we can continue to provide quality fields and programs for the children of North Hampton.

Donations of any amount are appreciated and may be sent to the following address:

PO Box 218

Please make checks payable to NHYA

The NHYA Board of Directors would like to thank everyone in advance for your donations and continued commitment as a community to support NHYA.
