"NCMASA Open" Tournament...Our Final Tournament of the Year
"NCMASA Open" Tournament. The girls ended the 2007 summer season with a very respectable 3-1-1 finish at the "NCMASA Open" tournament in Leominster. Special thanks to "Gunner", Theresa, Katie and Julie who joined us for the weekend, and who all made great contributions to the success of the weekend. Your help was GREATLY appreciated!

And thanks to all of the girls and the coaches for a wonderful summer. Good luck to you all over the upcoming year, and may you never forget the fun you (we) had this summer. Thanks for the memories...

Hagerstown Tournament
While we qualified to attend the NSA "Nationals", we chose, instead, to go to Hagerstown, Maryland, where we participated in the Independence Day Firecracker Tournament. This was a 3-day, 8-game event, where we played against some excellent teams from Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. We fared rather well, attaining a record of 5 wins and 3 losses. Most importantly, everyone had a great time!

New Hampshire ASA "States"
Our second tournament of the year was the New Hampshire ASA "States" which was held in Keene. The team placed third...good enough to qualify for the New England Regionals, to be held in Lowell, Ma. during the weekend of July 13-15.

Series of Clinics at the Hampshire Dome
Starting on Tuesday, November 7th, and continuing for 6 weeks, the Gems will be conducting clinics for younger kids at the Hampshire Dome at Hampshire Hills, in Milford. The clinics will be held from 4:00 until 6:00. This is a fund raiser for us, though because we don’t yet know how many kids will sign up for the clinics, we also don’t know how many “helpers” will be needed. If you have an interest in helping, please contact Jimmy, and he will work out a tentative schedule.

A Monster Thank You...
Because of scheduling conflicts and injuries, only 8 members of the 18U team were available to play in the Monster Bash on Saturday, and only 7 (members of the 18U team) were available on Sunday. Special thanks to 14U Gems "Q", Rebecca, and Katelyn for "playing up" for the weekend. They did a terrific job, fit right in with their "older sisters", and helped us secure a third place finish.
