What are the times to qualify for county or state?Click on the menu option "Records and Times" to see the 2006-2007 qualifying times for the county and state meets. Note that these times must be recorded at a 2006-2007 high school meet.
What is the criteria for earning a letter?
Note that there will be changes to this criteria for the 2008-2009 season . . .
Swimming and Diving – the swimmer/diver must be an eligible and active team member at the end of the season, attend meets and practice as specified by the coaching staff, and meet at least one of the following criteria:
1. Earn at least one point in an individual event in two or more invitational meets (excluding the state meet) or ten points in individual events during dual season. Points earned in relay events will be divided between swimmers and will be added to individual events points. It is important to recognize there may be multiple heats of a particular event. However, there will only be one point-scoring heat. All others (exhibition heats) are for times only with no points awarded.
2. Qualify for the state meet (relay events included). Times from dual/tri meets will fulfill this requirement. Times from US swimming meets can not be used to qualify for the state meet. Qualifying times must be recorded at a high school meet.
3. Be a senior that has been a member in good standing of the team for three (3) or more years.
