Type: Full Time - Experienced Head Coach, Field Hockey / Lacrosse (Full-time, 9 month position) Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the incumbent will be responsible for the administration of an NCAA Division III Women's Field Hockey and Lacrosse program to: (a) ensure the health, well being and academic success of the student-athletes; (b) develop the teams to annually compete in the top half of the athletic conference with the goal of post season competition; (c) Develop and conduct a new lacrosse intercollegiate team. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred); a minimum of two years experience in coaching field hockey and lacrosse at the collegiate level; a history of success as a coach, assistant coach or student-athlete in the sports as evidenced by sustained won/loss record; demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with student-athletes, administrators, support staff and community group; demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and project a professional approach and attitude. Assistant Field Hockey Coach - The College of Wooster
THE COLLEGE OF WOOSTER (NCAA Division III) is seeking applications and nominations for an ASSISTANT FIELD HOCKEY COACH (Intern Position) with secondary responsibilities in WOMEN’S LACROSSE for the 2008-09 season.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The intern will assist the head women's field hockey coach in all aspects of administering and coaching the Division III intercollegiate program with emphasis on recruiting (on and off campus), team conditioning, daily instruction in practices, and assisting with preseason. In addition, the intern will assist in the Spring with coaching in the Women’s Lacrosse program. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics. QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and college field hockey playing or coaching experience. Lacrosse coaching and playing experience is also desired. Goalkeeper coaching or playing experience is desired in either sport, but not necessary. COMPENSATION: Salary and benefits commensurate of qualifications.
