After 8 years, the "Old" Goldbacks web site will be changing and there is a new  Goldbacks web site managed by a new Web team.  I have created a link below.

The current web as you know it might continue or just fade away after the start of the season.  Since I have created and funded the site myself,  I might continue it as a way for Goldbacks fans to enjoy the site or just pull the plug. That is still UP TO YOU ????  If you visit it...

Since the new site will under the direction of the new Head coach.   I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have visted my site since it was created . Over 22,500 of you have logged on.  For NOT being a computer guy, I struggled my way through and hopefully you enjoyed it.  It took many hours and with the advancement in technology, I finally learned how to down load pictures, music and I even had some video planned. (I'm sure you noticed my spelling errors).

This site was created many years ago and and I want to thank Cathy McGraw who helped me launch the framework of the site.

As much as its a labor of love, I will enjoy reading the new one and will give me some time to enjoy my new hobby, playing the gutair with my Band. My new name is now Coach "ROCK", not Coach "LOCK".

Since, I have the ability to write what I wish, I want to thank everyone who has helped me over the years in my many duties.  I got started in 1994 helping Coach Truncali and this would have been my 16th year in the program.  I was a 7 time former Booster Club President and first worked with Mike Dipersia and Steve Calarda who was my first President.  By the way my daughter Lindsay is getting married to Steve's son Jeff on May 30th..( its a small world).  

I have held many positions to include:

Booster Club President

Director of Public Relations

Master of Cerimonies for Youth Night, Senior Night, Pep Rallies, and the End of the season Dinner

9 time Director of the End of the season Video

Web site creator

Asst Volunter coach and Coach "Lock" the "GET BACK COACH".   

My proudest moment was when we got the Lights, which we worked on for years.

One other moment that will stick in my mind is when Coach Mike Dipersia and I went to Ground Zero right after the attack on the WTC on 911. We brought a card and flowers from the team and placed them at the site.

The final memory was when I ran the NYC Marathon to raise money for the team and Coach's Chatham and Dipersia met all along the 26.2 miles and CT ran the final 4 miles wth me in his work boots and Carhart's.  We did the final 4 miles in 28 mins and finished in 5 hrs.  Not bad since I had a torn Hammy that Trainer Bob, Dr. Kahbie, Will Thorpe and Peak's Dan Fishman treated me to help me finish. 

Well enought about me.  I want to thank the following people who have help.

First and foremost my wife Laurie, a NFA TA for 19 years.. Mrs."LOCK" knew as many of the players as I did, she was so understanding that as a volunteer I was doing things that helped make a differnce.  She was always there for the team.My son Steven a former Goldback 98,99 and a Section Champ and my daugther Lindsay. She is so beautiful and I wish her the best with her new husband, my Son in Law Jeff. Can't forget about Shifty..  

Now my best freinds. Thanks Coach Chatham for letting me be a part of your teams for all of the years, its was amazing.  Coach Mike Dipersia who was aways by my side, Coach Dinno (his twins are in Lindsays wedding), Coach's Leg, Voght, Bianco, Dunn, and the other coaches Tuncali, Lazarski, Toback, Abate, Horton, Seabury, Gannelo, Ken Fulton, Jim Romano. Coach Diaz and the Cheerleaders, Matt Larwence, "The Butterfy" and all of the players, managers, water and Ball boys and girls. My best Bros' "Johnny C" Cunningham and Will "The Thorpedo" Thorpe and finally to Trainer Bob and Jen .. God Bless you.
