The New England Wolfpac is a regional Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) travel baseball program. AAU is the best competitive baseball in the country (www.aaubaseball.org).
Our teams compete at the U10, U11, U12, and U13 levels. The Wolfpac plays throughout Massachusetts and participates in New England regional tournaments during the spring, with the opportunity to play in other AAU tournaments throughout the country, including the National tournaments.
Our goal is to provide young ball players with a high level of skill development and competitive baseball. Our teaching philosophy strives to develop strong fundamental technique (whole part whole method) that will allow each and every player the opportunity to reach his highest ability level. Players experience growth and improvement in their baseball skills, an understanding of strategy and appreciation for the game. This growth and improvement lead to greater personal success, allowing the game to be more enjoyable and FUN for each player.
The Wolfpac coaches also strive to instill core values of integrity, teamwork, sportsmanship, respect for the individual, pursuit of excellence at the individual, team, and organizational levels, and loyalty. We stress the importance of academic achievement and community involvement.
This is an incredible opportunity for young players to be part of an exciting baseball experience and play baseball the way it was meant to be played.
The Spring/Summer 2009 season will consist of:
· 25-30 indoor training sessions at AtBats Training Facility in Boxborough (www.atbats.com) and Fore Kicks Athletic Center (www.forekicks.com/marlboro) in Marlborough.
· Outdoor practices two to three times a week at a local field
· 25-30 game schedule
· Several week-end tournaments
· Chance to play in a national tournament
Practices will begin in February. Games and tournaments will begin in early April and conclude in the end of June. Approximately 15 ballplayers will be selected for each team and will be instructed with a philosophy of TEAMWORK, HARDWORK, and FUN. Membership in the AAU federation and a fee for the season are required.
