Most of you did not know this but Wes and Beth have decided this will be their last year coaching NETVC for a while. Last tournament for both these coaches and their 17's team sent them out as winners. Congrats to NETVC 17 for winning the club silver division. It is a great feeling to end a season and a coaching career with a victory. Thanks Wes and Beth for all your years of time, dedication, and care you have given to your NETVC family.

For the 2nd year in a row our NETVC 18 team won their last tournament of the season. They went undefeated on the day and had a come from behind victory in the finals(winning in 3 sets). This victory sent our 7 seniors out on a winning note. Thanks for a great season: Autumn Roe, Makenzie Sumpter, Taylor Dierks, Kate Curcio, Candace Pugh, Faith Maddox, and Emi Lowe.

March 9-10th results
This past weekend we had some very good success on the volleyball courts. Our NETVC 13T team went to Nashville and lost in the Gold semifinals finshing in 3rd place. In Atlanta NETVC 15B got to the Bronze finals finishing a solid 2nd place in that division. In Roanoke at the Shamrock Festival we had some mixed success. NETVC 16 played very well and got to the silver divsion. NETVC 17 got to the Diamond division and competed well against 18 year old teams.
Finally the NETVC 18 team. I read a shirt that said HEART can't be taught and each 18 year old player got one. This described this team to a T. On Saturday the 18 year olds went undefeated making the Gold Division of Roanoke. This is the first time any NETVC 18 team has made the Gold divison. In the 3rd wave they won both matches in 3 close sets against teams that were very talented but heart and desire won out. On Sunday morning the NETVC 18 team lost a very close match to the eventual tournament champions falling 26-24 in the final set. NETVC finished 9th out of 90 teams. I am proud of all our teams, players, and coaches, but this 18 team I am super proud. Great job to all teams and keep working hard at practices and tournaments.

I am about 2 weeks late but better late than never. NETVC Senior Autumn Roe signed to play college volleyball for Emory and Henry College on December 18th. Autumn is an amazing young lady who has a great sprit and ability for volleyball. After having ACL surgery last year, Autumn tore her ACL again but played through the injury to help lead her HS team to a conference championship. We are so very proud of Autumn and know she will do great things at E&H. They are not only getting a great volleyball player but an outstanding person as well.
