EXTRA INNING RULE
All extra inning games (after 7 full innings of play) are to be continued with no outs and a runner at second base. The runner at second is to be the batter who made the last out in the previous inning.
EMAIL FINAL SCORES, HR's
COACHES: Please remember the winning and losing team coach must email your score immmediately following games to troy36house@wowway.com Again this year, you need to list in the email who hit home runs during the game and we will keep track and post on the website.
RAINOUT POLICY
Again this year, we will not be playing games on grass to avoid rain-outs. We do not have a rain-out hotline. Tell your players to show up for all games and the umpire will call off games in the event of bad weather. As in past years, the umpires will do everything possible to ensure a game is played in the case of rain. The rule is - show up for all games. Pray for sunshine!
FORFEIT GAME SCORE
Official ASA Softball Rules dictate the score of a forfeited game as 7-0. Thus, in the standings you will note that the winning team will get 7 runs and the losing (forfeiting) team will get zero (0) runs.
COURTESY RUNNERS
The courtesy runner rule will be strictly enforced this year by umpires. A courtesy runner may be used after the player reaches first base. Only one courtesy runner is allowed per team, per game and must be declared to opposing coach and umpire prior to the start of the game. An exception is a courtesy runner may be used for a player injured during a game. The designated runner will be the player who made the previous out.
