This week we have taken one step closer to the north and south Junior Clubs. Names were picked, Northern Nevada Junior Bucketmouths and Southern Nevada Junior Bucketmouths. If you are interested but need more information on what these clubs have to offer please visit  BASSMASTER YOUTH All aspects of these club's will be run by the Juniors, from setting meeting's and tournaments, educating the community and thier peers and fundraising. Young anglers aged 11-18 are invited to sign up.

Each year the members will advance on to the Nevada Junior Bassmasters and compete against angler's their age from around the State. The winners will move on and represent Nevada at the Western Divisionals and a shot at a fully rigged Triton Aluminum Bass Boat and a Scholarship.

Our 2008 Casting Kids State Championship has been postponed until March 2009. It will be held at Cabela's in Reno so stay tuned for the set date and time. Congratulation's to all our finalists.

On March 16th at Bass Pro Shops, Las Vegas Bass Club held their Casting Kids event. After a few tries and learning techniques from the member volunteers each young angler competed for a chance to move on to the Nevada Bass Federation Nation State Championship later this year to compete for chance to move on to the 2009 Federation Nation Championships and a share of $21,000 in scholarship money.

Last year Las Vegas Bass Club qualified Jacob Lescenski who moved through the competition's and ended up representing Nevada in the 7-10 age group at the Casting Kids National Championship. All these events to teach these young anglers are done entirely on a volunteer basis and with the support of our local communities.
