Can you believe 2009 is just around the corner? Just to recap 2008, we grew in membership, qualified twice as many kids for our casting kids championship slated for March, we qualified two JR’s to represent Nevada at the Western Divisional (congratulations to Kade Jones for his second consecutive win), we had another visit from BASS founder Ray Scott and we have put in countless hours of volunteer work.  

Congratulations to Tim Myers, a member of the Bass Anglers Federation of Las Vegas, who made an awesome showing for the State of Nevada at the BASS Federation National Championship. It was Jesse Milicevic in 07 and Tim Myers in 08 who will be next at a shot at the Bassmaster Classic? We will find out in Washington in May. 

Hopefully in the coming year we will bring in more membership for the group. We must always keep the goal in the fore front and that is never refuse to help other anglers to become better fishermen or never fail to come to the assistance of boaters in need.  

Our Federation is still very new and we are still trying to iron out the bumps. If anyone has any questions or concerns email or call any one of the board members. With the trying economy you must remember we are all volunteers and our jobs at the time of your request may require more attention, so please be patient and we will get to your questions or concerns as timely as possible. 

Last I want to thank Dave Malone for stepping up to the plate as treasurer. You really don’t know how much time and effort that position requires for no pay.
