On behalf of the North American Youth Football Championships family, it is with our deepest regret to announce the passing of Ronald E. McDaniel, Sr. President, NAYFC. Ronald is survived by his wonderful wife Vernadine McDaniel, his three children Ronald McDaniel, Jr., Adrian McDaniel, Almeda McDaniel (in-law) and Airy McDaniel, and three grandchildren Elijah McDaniel, Jordan McDaniel, and Kamden Keaton. Funeral arrangements are yet to be determined and we ask all coaches to continue to check the website for details or the obituary section of www.charlotteobserver.com.

Teams With Automatic Entry Into The 2009 Tournament
With the 2008 North American Youth Football Championship (NAYFC) being completed, the field is already being setup for the 2009 North American Youth Football Championship defending Champs. The NAYFC automatically provides free entry for the Champions of the previous year. In the 2009 NAYFC, the following Teams have already been provided placement in their respective Age Groups:
Older But Lighter Conference
8U (OBL - 9) - Clarkston Chiefs 10U (OBL - 11) - Ballantyne Gators 12U (OBL - 13) - Northeast DolphinsRestricted Conference
9U (Restricted) - Clarkston Chiefs 10U (Restricted) - Southeast Guilford Sharks 11U (Restricted) - Open (No 2008 Champions) 12U (Restricted) - Sandhills PatriotsWe will be eagerly waiting to see if these Teams will successfully defend their NAYFC Championship against new and returning Teams and newcomers in 2009.

2009 NAYFC Hotel Accommodations Completed

Sigma Sports Network, Inc REQUIRES ALL participating Teams/Organizations/Parents/Fans needing Lodging to go through Alliance Tour & Travel to book Hotel Rooms for the 2009 North American Youth Football Championships. Sigma Sports Network, Inc and Alliance Tour & Travel have worked very hard to establish the lowest possible rates with Select Hotels for the 2009 North American Youth Football Championships.
All Select Hotels were selected because they are considered to be "Child Friendly" establishments. In addition, most Select Hotels provide Teams/Organizations free hot breakfast, indoor/outdoor swimming pools, and workout areas for Parents.
