How to Watch Volleyball

The game of volleyball has come along way since the rainy day school experiences you may have had when your teacher put the entire class of kids on each side of the net and let them pity-pat the ball around until the bell rang. Today it is a power game, with teamwork, technique, and skill that matches any competitive sport in the world. The ball often travels at a speed of 80-100 miles per hour! There are new rules for the SPORT, which recently was highlighted on TV at the Olympic Games. See the Handout, How to See What you are Watching: Volleyball, for all the new rules and techniques.
