Tryouts will be held on Saturday, April 30th at 11:00am at Ludlow Field. Regular practices begin shortly thereafter. (If you have plans to be away or cannot make that date, please contact me to make arrangements prior to April 30th). Games are played against travel teams from neighboring towns throughout Fairfield County from June thru July.

The 10u Zoomers will also be competing in the Babe Ruth State Tournament (Date - TBD) and also at the Year End FCFSL Tournament (July 21st – 24th). Zoomer Parents and players must be aware that a large commitment is required to be a member of this team. In addition to a financial commitment by parents, a time commitment is required by players and parents alike. Players that make the team and commit are expected to attend practices and games.

6. Players must wear the uniform supplied by the league.

Code of Conduct
The NAA Girls Softball league exists to benefit our girls. We aim to provide a safe, fun, and instructional environment for our players, coaches, umpires, and families, and all fans.

Any action taken by a player, coach, umpire, family member, etc. that violates our guidelines will be reviewed jointly by our league at the commissioners’ and president’s level. A violation will subject the offending party to suspension from the league or outright dismissal depending on the severity of the action.

Registering players and all coaches, umpires, and parents, etc. must acknowledge and agree to our code to be eligible to play.

Use of Kozma Field at Ludlow Park
Among all of the fields that the NAA Girls Softball League is permitted to use, the one field that does not have adequate, near-by parking is Ludlow Field.

It must be understood by all families and players who attend games at Ludlow, that absolutely no parking is permitted at any location, other than at Marvin Elementary School. Please park at Marvin and use the established crosswalk at the traffic light in front of the school when you cross.

Violation of this parking regulation will result in the loss of the permit to use Ludlow Field and the subsequent cancellation of games.

Norwalk High School Field
All 2006 Division 2 and 3 managers are NOT allowed to use Norwalk High School field if it is wet. Once the High School season ends in early June, we may have more flexibility. However, until further notice, if the NHS field is wet, there is NO GAME and NO PRACTICE. Games that need to be rescheduled due to weather or wet field conditions may be rescheduled by contacting your division commissioner.

The NAA Girls Babe Ruth Charter covers participants from Norwalk and Westport.

Coaches Must be Certified!
Babe Ruth has partnered with the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) to provide online training and certification for the organizations’ softball coaches beginning December 2006. As the exclusive coaching education provider to BRL and RBI, ASEP is designing customized online Coaching Youth Softball courses specifically for BRL. The courses will be made available through a dedicated BRL website: www.BabeRuthCoaching.org which will launch in coordination with the availability of the new courses. BRL is establishing a leadership role in youth softball by requiring all their coaches to successfully complete coaching education and certification by July 2008. Babe Ruth League coaches can visit www.BabeRuthCoaching.org to pre-register for the course. Those who pre-register will receive an e-mail notification when the course becomes available. Please click on the headline link for more information. All NAA softball managers and coaches are required to become certified. Please visit the "Handouts" section of the website to download the article.

NAA Membership Application for all Managers and Coaches
