Thunder announces Supplemental Tryout for 2009 - 10U and 12U

The Mundelein Thunder will be holding supplemental tryouts for our 2009 10U and 12U teams on Saturday, December 13, 2008, from 1 to 3 PM at the Carl Sandburg Middle School gym in Mundelein. If you are a player, or you know one, who would like to improve her game in a fun and challenging atmosphere, this is the place for you!

At the tryouts you will be tested on basic catching, throwing, fielding, hitting base running skills and sliding.  You will also participate in situational drills. Pitchers will have the chance to demonstrate pitching skills separately.

Questions: Contact Bill at thunder786@comcast.net or 847-566-1109.

Looking for a few good players

The Mundelein Thunder is looking for players to fill out its 12U developmental and 16U teams.

The 12U team is open to players at all positions. As a developmental team you will not need a great deal of softball experience, just a desire to play the game.

The 16U team is in need of two experienced pitchers.

If you fit the description, or know someone who does, please have them contact Bill T'Niemi at thunder786@comcast.net.

Be part of the Thunder excitement! If interested, please contact Bill T'Niemi at thunder786@comcast.net or call him at 847-566-1109.

Advice From Around The Web
The Mundelein Thunder has added a new section that takes great articles from around the Web and gathers them up in one place. Check out the Playing Advice link on the lower left to see the articles. The first one is from Hal Skinner, one of the premiere pitching coaches in the country, and it talks about how those mean things the other team is saying may be the greatest compliment you can get.
