Montana District 1 - Baseball: Welcome

Attention Athletes aged 9 through 16: Speed, Agility and Quickness Camp

8 week training camp specifically designed to improve overall speed, quickness and agility.  Begins Sunday afternoon October 11 through November 29  at the Billings Sports Plex at 5000 Southgate Drive. Girls 1-2 PM and Boys 2 -3 PM each Sunday.  Camp is sponsored by the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine group of the Billings Clinic.

Boys Scouts - Need Eagle Scout Projects??????

Little League could use your help.  We have field work that could qualify for your Eagle scout project.  This fall, 2 scouts working on their Eagle Scout badge installed permanent foul lines, and a warning track at 9th and Central Park.  Contact Donell Small at 861-0150 or Rick DeVore at 661-1085 for additional information.  This is a win-win situation for both LL and the Scouts.

Centennial Park Construction Update 

Construction on the new full sized baseball field at Centennial Park has begun.  CMG Construction has re-graded the area, creating a new storm retention pond and brought the new field up to grade. Great Plains Fencing has installed the posts for the foul line and outfield fencing.  Fabric will be installed in the next 2 weeks. Hopefully, we can get the backstop and dugouts in the ground this fall. We will be meeting with the contractor on Monday, November 2, 2009.

The field is being funded in part from a $99,000 grant from Baseball Tomorrow Fund, a division of Major League baseball.  Private donations and Little League funds are also being used in the project.  If you or your company would like to contribute to this project, donations would be greatly appreciated.  Contact Rick DeVore at 656-9239 or 661-1085 (cell) for additional information.
