Tie-Break Procedures
1) The tie-break procedures takes into account the important difference between finishing fifth and fourth. The tie-break format for determining other places will be similar to that of past years.
a) If there is a tie between the fourth and fifth place teams, the tie will be broken in a sudden death game. The team that scores the first goal will clinch the fourth playoff spot and the game will be over.
b) If there is a three-way, four-way or five-way tie and one of those teams is not to make the playoffs, the regular tie break formula will determine all but the fourth and fifth spots with those two teams playing off in a sudden death game. An example of this would be having team A, B, and C tying with records of 1-3 for positions 3, 4, and 5. If through head-to-head play all three teams finished 1-1, but team A had the best plus-minus, team A would finish third and teams B and C would playoff in a sudden death game for the remaining playoff spot.
2) The home team in any sudden death game will be the team that was the visitor during round robin play.
3) In determining final standings in any other situations, the tie-break will be as follows:
a) Team with the most wins
b) Team with least over time losses
c) Head to head play between tied teams
d) Plus minas between tied teams
e) Most goals between tied teams
f) Overall plus-minus
g) Overall Most goals
h) Sudden death game

Tournament Structure
1) The Mr. Man tournament structure is dependent on the number of humans that are participating in that particular year.
a) For a Standard eight team tournament, the tournament will have a round robin format, having each team play against each other once.
For a Modified eight team tournament, two divisions of four teams will play a round robin tournament with each team playing a fourth crossover game against the team in its opposing division that has finished its matching seeded position. The two teams that lead their respective divisions before this final game will be awarded the top two seedings for the playoffs. The remaining six teams will be seeded 3-8 depending on their final point total in after the crossover game. The playoffs from this point will be the same as the standard eight team format.
i) The single elimination playoff format for an eight team tournament will have each team making the playoffs with the first round playing out as follows:
8 vs. 1
7 vs. 2
6 vs. 3
5 vs. 4
ii) Out of the remaining four teams after the first round will play off with the highest seeded team hosting the lowest remaining seed, and the second highest seeded remaining team to host the third highest seeded team.
iii) The two losing teams will play off for Bronze and the two winning teams will play off for Gold
