OTTAWA WINS!
After trailing 6-1, Havlat scored with just less than a minute to play and Ottawa went on to win the game on a goal from Radek Bonk with 17 seconds left in the third period.
"I WIN!!! YOU LOSE", taunted an excited Terry Dunbrack, "ME ME ME ME, I can't wait to get drunk!"

2005 Mr. Man Champion
After having to play through the longest round-robin since 2000, the Calgary Flames managed to perservere and rise above all others thanks to a 7-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators.
"I was just glad that I didn't let the fans down" said an extatic Christian Poirier. "It was much easier than I expected."
"I fell into a burning ring of fire. I wentdown, down, down and the Flames went higher", said a dejected Terry Dunbrack.
This year marked the most evenly matched games in recent years with the exception of several blow-outs. Organizers were very pleased at the parity that has developed in the league and hopes that the tournament has entered a new golden era for competition.

2005 Roy Hattie Winner
2005 saw the return of the complete single round robin for the first time since 2000. With Reinprecht scoring with 3:03 in Overtime, the Calgary Flames have clinched their 2nd, and Christian Poirier's third Roy Hattie Cup. With the seven team format the Roy Hattie winner also has a 75% shot at medalling thanks to their first round bye.
"It was a hard fought battle," said a pompous Christian Poirier, "one wrought with turmoil and intrique. It's nice to have a breather thanks to the bye before having to play again. I wish I could be there when Terry has to take the trophy and get his name taken off."
This has also marked the sixth year in a row that the Cup has changed hands. Other winners have been:
1999 Colorado Avalanche - Christian Poirier
2000 Colorado Avalanche - Christian Poirier
2001 Calgary Flames - Playstation 2
2002 Philadelphia Flyers - Nigel Poirier
2003 New York Rangers - Troy Rankin
2004 Ottawa Senators - Terry Dunbrack
As a point of interest, Mr. Poirier must have thought that he was playing tennis during the round robin. Against humans on Tuesday, Christian won his games against the NY Rangers and Buffalo Sabres 7-6 in OT, and against Ottawa 7-6 in regulation. Toronto defeated Calgary 7-6 in their game.
