Falling money
Moriah Cheer Scholarship

Starting in 2004, Moriah Cheer alumnae, family and friends put together a scholarship to be awarded annually to a graduating MCS cheerleader. This year, through our generous contributors, we were able to give out a $500 scholarship! This is a big step toward an annual substantial scholarship for a cheerleader from Moriah.
The scholarship is awarded each year by the team, chosen by peers for their dedication and contributions to Moriah Cheerleading. Our past recipients:
2004: Jessica Simpson (Elmira College, 2007 NCA Collegiate National Champions, All Girl Div. 2)
             Melissa Kilburn (SUNY Potsdam/SUNY Plattsburgh)
2005: Sarah Java (Moriah JV Cheer co-coach since 2007)
2009: Shannon Hanson (Clarkson University)

We are looking to build the scholarship fund for the future to continue helping deserving athletes. There are only a handful of colleges in NY/northeast offering cheerleading scholarships, and NONE in VT, ME, NH, RI or MA. It is up to us--please contact Vicki Nephew to donate today! vickijallen@yahoo.com
