T-Ball
The T-Ball division is an entry-level program for first-time players of league age 5 - 6 (as determined by Little League Baseball, Inc.).
At this level the player is introduced to the basic fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing and running. Players in this division will hit off a tee.
The objective of T-ball is organized fun where games and practices are geared towards building teamwork, sportsmanship, hand-eye coordination, and a basic understanding of the game. Practices are typically held one day each week, in most cases in the hour before a scheduled game. Game scores and win/loss records are not kept. The play in this division is fun and exciting and everybody wins!
There are no Try-outs for this division, and players can request to be paired with friends and/or coaches. The Player Agent will try to accommodate these requests as best as possible.
A-Ball
The A-Ball division is for players with at least one year of playing experience. Typically, these are players of league age 6 - 7 (as determined by Little League Baseball, Inc. ).
As a natural progression from T-Ball, baseball fundamentals continue to be worked on with more structured drills on hitting, throwing and fielding. Practice sessions are held on non-game days, usually once each week.
In this division, managers and coaches pitch to the players. Game scores and win/loss records are not kept.

AA-Ball
The AA-Ball division is geared for players with at least two years of playing experience. Typically, these are players of league age 7 - 10 (as determined by Little League Baseball, Inc.).
As the precursor to the more competitive Minor division, baseball fundamentals are further developed in a slightly more competitive environment, as coaches continue to build on hitting, fielding, and throwing skills, and introduce pitching to the players. There are usually one or two practices each week on non-game days.
The season will start out with either coach or machine-pitch, and the players will transition to player-pitch upon the approval of the AA-Ball Commissioner (typically after 6 games). Once the division has transitioned to player-pitch, the division will adhere to the Little League pitching rules. Game scores may be kept, although win/loss records are typically not maintained. At the end of the season, all AA-Ball teams will be invited to participate in their first post-season division-only tournament!

Minors
The Minor division is designed for players with intermediate baseball skills. Typically, these are players of league age 8 - 11 (as determined by Little League Baseball, Inc.).
Players must attend try-outs and be evaluated on their abilities. Following try-outs, managers will draft players based upon skill assessment. Players not drafted to a Minor division team will be placed onto an AA-Ball division team.
At this level, the players begin to learn the tactics and strategies of baseball, including reading signs, base stealing and bunting. Teams in this division usually practice at least two times per week on non-game days.
The Minor division follows Little League pitching rules and games are officiated by qualified umpires. The level of play is competitive and game scores, player statistics and win/loss records are maintained. All Minor division teams participate in a post-season tournament, the winner of which will be invited to play in the District 44 Minor Division Tournament of Champions!
Majors
The Major division is the most advanced level of the Little League program and is open to players of league age 9 - 12 (as determined by Little League Baseball, Inc.).
Players must attend try-outs and be evaluated on their abilities. Following try-outs, managers will draft players based upon skill assessment. Players not drafted to a Major division team will be automatically placed into the Minor division draft. Players not drafted to a Minor division team will be placed onto an AA-Ball division team.
Players at this level are taught advanced techniques in hitting, fielding, throwing and pitching. More complex strategies and plays are also introduced and explained. Teams in this division usually practice at least two times per week on non-game days.

Juniors and Seniors
The Junior and Senior divisions are an extension of Little League baseball. Junior division players are league age 13 - 14, and Senior division players are league age 14 - 16 (as determined by Little League Baseball, Inc.).
Players in these divisions play on a regulation diamond with 90 foot base paths and a 60 foot 6 inch pitching distance.
Junior and Senior division baseball is designed to further the Little League experience for players over the league age of 12 and to further develop the players baseball skills, in anticipation of play at higher levels, such as high school baseball. Games and practices in these divisions are held at locations other than the Moreland Little League complex. Games and practices are typically held at different high school fields throughout the area. Opponents are other Junior and Senior division teams in District 44.
TRY-OUTS for the Minor/Major Divisions
All players who wish to participate in either the Minor or Major Divisions are required to register in one of those divisions. Please register your child in the Division you believe is best suited for his/her age and your current assessment of his/her skill-level.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL players who are entered into Try-outs, regardless of the Division they were initially registered under, are eligible to be drafted into the Major Division! We run a single Try-out program for all players and draft players first into the Majors and subsequently into the Minors. Any child who is not drafted will be placed onto an AA-Ball team.
We ask you to register your child in the Division of your preference in order to get an early indication of the potential composition of our League, with respect to players (and thus teams) at each level.
Try-outs are usually scheduled for late January.
Campbell Little League Teams
Campbell minor and major teams that play against MLL are assigned to this division. This category is used to make the Standings display correctly. It really shouldn't appear here, but it does, thanks to the limitations of the eTeamz software. Sorry for any confusion this causes. Just pretend it isn't here.
