Tipp City Results - Regular Season Results - PLAYOFF News

SORRY!  Not sure why last weeks news cut off after 1.5 sentences?  Here's the complete story from last week...

Our Wee Hornets ended the season at home last weekend against the Tipp City Red Devils.  It was a successful SWBL Season with all our teams at or above 0.500.

The day started rough with our 3rd Graders being shut out 0-26.  They ended their season at 4-4 and in 3rd place in the South.

The next game was also a shutout, only this time it was the good guys posting it as our 4th Graders win by a count of 14-0.  That win completes their 2nd consecutive undefeated regular season, they were also un-scored upon!!!  They will play Tipp City again this week in Valley View Sat at 11:30.  Good luck to the Class of 2018!

The 5th Graders exploded for 50 points while only giving up 14 to finish the season at 4-3-1 and in 4th place in our division.

In their final regular season Pee Wee game the 6th Graders put on a strong showing by defeating the Red Devils 36-16.  They finished in 3rd place with a record of 5-3.

Check with your Coaches on specific post season plans for tournaments and parties!

Bellbrook Review - Tipp City Preview

Our Wee Hornets watched the JV trounce Dixie and kept it going vs the Bellbrook Eagles, sweeping them in their 4 games.  The big day puts all Hornet teams at or above 0.500 on the season.  The 1st and 2nd graders ended the day getting to have some fun playing under the lights vs the Waynesville Spartans, but unfortunately the Hornet winning streak didn't continue with both teams taking one on the chin.

The day started with the 3rd Grade (4-3) keeping the Eagles (0-7) winless with a 22-6 victory.  They'll have a tough test next week vs a (6-1) Tipp City team coming in hot off a 32-0 shutout of Northridge.

The UNDEFEATED Playoff Bound 4th Grade (7-0) followed that with an impressive 32-0 shutout vs a (2-5) Bellbrook team.  They'll have a challenging game next week against the Red Devils (5-2) squad coming to town after easily getting by Northridge 36-0 last week.

The 5th Grade (3-3-1) got back to 0.500 with an 8-6 "W" over Bellbrooks (2-5) team.  They'll face a Tipp City team (2-5) who got their 2nd victory last week with a 14-0 shutout of Northridge.

The 6th Grade (4-3) posted a 28-0 shutout vs the (3-4) Bellbrook Eagles.  They'll take on the (4-3) Red Devils who are coming off a (0-26) loss against Northridge.

Next weeks matchup vs the Tipp City Red Devils will bring the 2009 regular season to a close.  If you have a chance, stick around till halftime of the 5th grade game to honor our 6th Graders at their last SWBL game before moving on to Jr High.  It has been another fun year and one of our leagues most successful.

Carlisle Results - Bellbrook Preview

Unless my math is wrong, the 4th Grade team has clinced the division title!!!

The 4th Grade picked up Monroe's lone victory vs the Carlisle Indians last weekend with a 16-0 shutout keeping them undefeated on the season.  They'll face a (2-4) Bellbrook team that got their leagues only "W" last week beating Waynesville 20-12.

The 3rd Grade (3-3) lost a hard fought defensive battle for 1st place in the division by a score of 0-6 to the Indians (4-2).  They'll go up against a winless Eagle this weekend.

The 6th Grade (3-3) got down early but kept playing hard and fought back to make it an exciting game.  Unfortunately they came up just short losing 12-18 to the Indians (5-1).  Next up they'll take on a (3-3) Bellbrook team coming off a 6-16 loss to Waynesville.

The 5th Grade (2-3-1) went down 14-30 to the (5-1) Indians.  They'll match up with Bellbrooks squad (2-4) defeated by Waynesville last week 6-16.

Massie Results - Carlisle Preview

None of our Hornet Teams put up more than a single score, but for 2 teams that was good enough for a "W".

The 3rd Grade impoved to (3-2) with a 6-0 shutout of the (1-4) Massie squad.

Our UNDEFEATED 4th Graders stayed perfect with an 8-0 victory over the (3-3) Falcons.

Our (2-2-1) 5th Grade Hornets lost to the (4-1) Massie Falcons by a score of 6-28.

The day ended with our Sr Jr's facing an undefeated Massie team and going down 6-34.

This is a big rivalry week against the Carlisle Indians as we start a 3 week home stand to end the season.  The Indians are coming off a perfect weekend vs Bellbrook.  Their 3rd and 4th Grades are both 3-3; and their 5th and 6th Grades are both 5-1.

Thursday, October 1
Waynesville Results - Massie Preview

Our Hornets split with the Waynesville Spartans last weekend making all teams at 0.500 or better.

4th Grade stayed undefeated with a 30-0 victory over the 1-3 Spartans.  This week they'll take on a 3-1 Massie team who beat Carlisle last week.

The other winning team was the 3rd Grade who also posted a shutout, 22-0, leaving Waynesville at 1-3 on the season.  That "W" puts them a 0.500 for the year (2-2).  They face an angry Falcons squad this week.  They took the lone Massie loss vs Carlisle last week.

Our first Tie of the season came in the Hornets (2-1-1) / Spartans (3-1-1) 5th grade contest.  It ended all knotted up at 6.  The Hornets will go up against a 3-1 Massie team this weekend.

This week will be another tough test for our eldest pee-wee gang.  After a tough loss to the Spartans (14-6), they'll play an undefeated Falcons team on the road.
