April 14 and April 15
The U-12 Rebel Strikers had their first two games of the season this weekend. On Saturday the Strikers hosted the Belleville Bulldogs and after a very well fought game that was 0-0 for the majority of the hour, but ended up losing 1-0. The first half remained scoreless with great defense by Ally Einbeck, Kennedy Ludwig, Anna Latimer, Heather Burkhalter, Sam Ellfeson and goalie Morgan Seffrood with 6 saves. Attempts on goal were made by Olivia Werth, Emily Benzschawel, and Brynn Ritschard. The second half Emily took over goalkeeper duties and earned 7 saves. Attempts were made by Morgan, Brynn, and Olivia. The bulldogs scored their goal late in the second half. Offensive players Rachel Meier, Dani Larraga, and Allison O'brien kept up the pressure but could not get it past the belleville goalie. 
On Sunday the ladies traveled to Janesville and earned a 6-4 victory. Morgan earned 1 save as goalie the first half and two goals were scored by Olivia one assisted by Brynn and one with a penalty kick. Janesville also scored twice the first half. Attempts on goal were made by Brynn, Olivia, Heather and Alexa Bader. The second half Morgan earned 6 saves as goalkeeper. The strikers scored 3 goals in a row another by Olivia, one by Brynn assisted by Olivia and one by Rachel. Janesville followed suit with two more goals of their own. The final Monroe goal was scored by Dani Larraga off of a corner kick by Kennedy Ludwig. Excellent offense by Ally, Heather, Brynn, Olivia, Rachel, Allison, Alexa, and Ellawyn Fong and defense by Anna Latimer, Sydney Mathiason, Sam, Dani, Kennedy and Aspen Bader helped to seal the win.
April 28 
The U-12 Strikers traveled to deerfield this past cold and rainy saturday and earned a 7-4 victory. Goalie Emily Benzschawel earned 4 saves the first half and attempts on goal were made by Olivia Werth, Kennedy Ludwig, Dani Larraga, Morgan Seffrood, and Brynn Ritschard. Olivia scored the first goal with an assist by Brynn. Deerfield followed with two goals of their own. Olivia scored again assisted by Brynn to end the first half 2-2. Deerfield scored their third goal at the beginning of the second half but Monroe came back with two goals in a row to take the lead. One by Emily assisted by Dani and one by Brynn assisted by Emily. Goalie Morgan Seffrood earned 3 saves the second half with excellent defensive help by Heather Burkhalter, Syndney Mathiason, Ally Einbeck, Anna Latimer, Sam Ellefson, Kennedy Ludwig and Aspen Bader. Deerfield scored a fourth goal to tie it up again but then the Rebel offensive really fired up with 3 more goals- one by Olivia off of a corner kick, one by Brynn off of a corner kick and the final goal by Emily. Excellent offensive help by Allison O'Brien, Rachel Meier, and Ellawyn Fong sealed the win.
May 12 & 13

The U-12 Rebel Strikers had an amazing weekend at the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association tournament in Verona shutting out 3 teams before a heartbreaking 1-0 loss in the semi- finals to the Belleville Bulldogs. The strikers first took on the Madison Magic saturday morning and earned a 3-0 victory. Brynn Ritschard scored two goals the first half. Attempts were made by Emily Benzschawel, Winnie Fong, and Rachel Meier. Goalie was Morgan Seffrood with 3 saves. The second half Morgan scored assisted by Brynn and Emily tended goal with 3 saves.

The second game Monroe versed McFarland and earned a 3-0 win. The game remained scoreless the first half with goalie Emily making 4 saves and goal attempts by Olivia Werth, Brynn and Morgan. The second half  Brynn scored on a penalty kick followed by 2 goals by Olivia one off of a corner kick from Brynn. Goalie Morgan earned 1 save with attempts made by Olivia, Winnie, and Sydney Mathiason.

The Rebels traveled back to verona on Sunday to face the Madison Velocity and earned a 1-0 victory. Brynn scored the only goal of the game in the first half. Morgan made 3 saves as goalie and attempts were made by Ally Einbeck, Olivia, and Emily. The second half Morgan stayed on as goalie to preserve the win with 4 saves. Goal attempts were made by Olivia, Brynn and Emily. 

For the semi-final game the Rebels took on the Belleville Bulldogs. Monroe held them scorless for the first half with 4 saves by goalie Emily Benzschawel. Monroe had many attempts on goal by Olivia, Brynn and Ally. Morgan took over goal keeper duties the second half and earned 5 saves, Attempts were made by Emily and Olivia. Belleville scored late in the second half which sent them to the championships.  Excellent defense throughout the weekend was played by Samantha Ellefson, Heather Burkhalter, Kennedy Ludwig, Anna Latimer and Aspen Bader. With offense by Rachel, Allison O'Brien, and Danni Larraga.

 
U12 Mustangs - Fall 2011!
September 11, 2011  
The U-12 Rebel Mustang Girls opened their season with a 0-0 tie in Beaver Dam on Sat. Sept. 10th. The Girls had an amazing well fought game and stayed strong throughout the game. Attempts on goal the first half were made by Olivia Werth, Dani Larraga, and Allison O'brien, Goalkeeper Emily Benzschawel had 5 saves the first half. The second half attempts were made by Olivia, Anika Einbeck and Emily ,  Morgan Seffrood earned 3 saves as goalkeeper. Excellent play by Ally Einbeck, Aspen and Alexa Bader, Heather Burkhalter and Kennedy Ludwig kept Beaver Dam scoreless.  
September 17 and 18, 2011    
This weekend the U12 Rebel girls played two home games. On Sat. the Mustangs defeated Edgerton with a score of 8-1. Attempts on goal the first half were made by Dani Larraga, Heather Burkhalter and Olivia Werth. Allison O'Brien scored  a goal to end the half 1-0. Emily Benzschawel had 2 saves as goalie. The second half Morgan Seffrood had two saves.The girls really turned up the offensive heat with attempts by Olivia, Heather, Emily and Allison, and two goals scored by Olivia, two by Kennedy Ludwig one assisted by Alexa Bader, a goal by Ally Einbeck and two final goals scored by Alexa. Amazing defense by Aspen Bader kept Edgerton to one goal. On Sunday the girls took on Evansville in the pouring rain and earned a 6-1 victory. The rebels had 4 goals the first half, three by Olivia Werth one assisted by Emily Benzschawel, and a goal by Emily. Attempts were made by Emily, Heather Burkhalter, Dana Larraga and Alexa Bader. Goalie Morgan Seffrood earned 5 saves. The second half Megan Benzschawel took over goal keeper duties and earned 3 saves. Morgan Seffrood had an attempt on goal followed by two goals by Ally Einbeck one assisted by Morgan and the other assisted by Kennedy.
October 1, 2011 
The U12 Rebel Strikers faced some tough competition on Sat. when they lost to Belleville 3-0. Goalie Emily Benzschawel earned 6 saves as goalie the first half and Olivia Werth and Morgan Seffrood had attempts on goal but belleville scored twice to end the half 2-0. The strikers fought hard with goal attempts by Emily and Ally Einbeck the second half but Belleville scored once more at the end of play to seal the win. Goalie Morgan Seffrood had 6 saves the second half also. Tough defense by Aspen Bader, Anna Latimer, Kennedy Ludwig and offense by Heather Burkhalter, Alexa Bader, Dani Larraga, and Allison O'brien made it a very challenging game for the undefeated Belleville team.
October 8, 2011
The U-12 Rebel Strikers traveled to Madison on Sat. Oct. 8th and earned a 4-2 victory. Goalie for the first half was Morgan Seffrood with 4 saves. Attempts were made by Olivia Werth, Heather Burkhalter, Emily Benzschawel, Kennedy Ludwig and Dani Larraga. Emily scored the first goal of the game followed by a goal by Madison to end the half at 1-1. The second half Emily took over goal keeper duties and earned 7 saves. Attempts from the strikers were made by Kennedy, Heather, Olivia and Morgan. The rebels scored 3 more goals two by Kennedy and one by Morgan assisted by Ally Einbeck. The girls will play a home game this Sat. at the MTX field at 11:00.

The U-12 girls Rebel Strikers took on Beaver Dam at home on Saturday and tied them 3-3. Goalie for the first half was Morgan Seffrood with 3 saves. Beaver Dam scored first followed by a Monroe goal by Emily Benzschawel. An attempt was made by Olivia Werth. Beaver dam scored two more times to end the half 1-3. The second half Emily was goal keeper and earned 2 saves. The offense really played strong with goal attempts by Olivia, Heather Burkhalter, Kennedy Ludwig, and Ally Einbeck. The rebels scored 2 in the second half to tie it up before the whistle. Goals were made by Kennedy assisted by Heather and Ally assisted by Kennedy. Great defense by Aspen Bader, Alexa Bader, Kennedy, Ally, Morgan, Heather and Dani Larraga kept Beaver dam scoreless the second half.

The U-12 Rebel Strikers girls traveled to Edgerton on Sat. and earned a 7-0 victory. Morgan Seffrood was goalie the first half with one save. Allison O'brien scored the first goal for Monroe followed by a goal by Heather Burkhalter and one by Olivia Werth to end the half 3-0. Attempts were made by Allison and Dani Larraga. The second half Megan Benzschawel was goalkeeper but had no saves due to great offensive play by the rebels with attempts by Kennedy Ludwig, Emily Benzschawel, Olivia, Dani, and Heather. The first two goals the second half were scored by Kennedy followed by a goal by Morgan and a goal by Anna Latimer off a corner kick from Olivia. The Strikers will travel to Evansville next saturday for their last game of the fall season.

The U12 Rebel Striker girls traveled to Evansville on Saturday for the their final game of the fall season and earned an 8-0 victory. Goal keeper for the first half was Megan Benzschawel with 3 saves. Attempts were made by Allison O'brien and Emily Benzscawel with goals scored the first half by Olivia Werth assisted by Emily, another by Olivia, one by Morgan Seffrood assisted by Kennedy Ludwig and two by Emily. Great defense by Heather Burkhalter, Ally Einbeck and Aspen Bader kept evansville scoreless. The second half Olivia was goal keeper with one save. Attempts were made by Heather and Kennedy with goals scored by Heather Burkhalter, Emily Benzscawel and Ally Einbeck assisted by Heather. The Strikers finished their fall season with 5 wins 2 ties and 1 loss.

April 9th and 10th, 2011
The U-11 Rebel Mustangs opened their spring season this weekend with two away games. On Sat. the Mustangs traveled to Oregon and earned a 7-1 victory. Goalies for the first half were Emily Benzshawel with 4 saves and Ally Einbeck with three saves. Attempts on goal were made by Kennedy Ludwig and Heather Burkhalter. Three goals were scored the first half by Monroe, the first by Olivia Werth assisted by Kennedy, the second by Olivia and the third by Emily assisted by Heather. The second half of play Ally earned 2 more saves in goal followed by Anna Latimer with one save. Goals were made by Olivia off a corner kick from heather, a goal by Emily and two by Ally the final one assisted by Aspen Bader. Attempts on goal were made by Dani Larraga, Emily, Sydney Mathiason, and Heather. Strong play by Samantha Ellefson, Alexa Bader, and Allison O'Brien helped to seal the win. On Sunday the Mustangs traveled to Madison to take on the Strikers and came away with a 1-1 tie. The Madison strikers scored their goal the first half, goalie Ally Einbeck earned one save and attempts on goal were made by Olivia, Samantha, and Anna. The second half Anna took over goalkeeper duties but saw very little action as great offense and defense by the Mustangs kept the ball on the offensive side of the field. Attempts on goal were made by Olivia and Emily with the goal scored by Emily assisted by Ally. Excellent defense by Kennedy, Allison, Ally, Dani, Alexa, and Samantha, and offense by Sydney, Emily, Aspen, Heather, Olivia, and Morgan Seffrood kept the Strikers scoreless the second half.  The U-11 Rebel Mustangs are coached by Troy and Janel Bader.
May 1st, 2011 
The U-11 Rebel Mustangs played a home game on Sunday May 1st and defeated the Madison Regent Rockets 6-0. The Rebels kept up strong offensive play the entire game with first half attempts by Kennedy Ludwig, Olivia Werth, Morgan Seffrood, Heather Burkhalter and Sydney Mathiason. Anna Latimer was goalkeeper for much of the first half but recorded no saves as excellent defense by Samantha Ellefson, Dani Larraga and Sydney kept the ball away from her. Emily Benschawel came in as goalkeeper and earned 5 saves the rest of the first half. The Rebels scored 2 goals before halftime one by Kennedy from a corner kick from Olivia, and a goal by Olivia assisted by Kennedy. The second half the Rebels were still on fire with goal attempts by Heather, Sydney, Emily and Allison O'brien with goals made by Anna, Dani assisted by Emily, Kennedy and Emily assisted by Olivia. Olivia had one save as goalie the second half followed by one save by Morgan to end the game 6-0.  
May 7th, 2011 
The U-11 Rebel Mustangs continued their undefeated season on Sat. with a 6-2 win in Evansville. The Rebels scored three goals the first half all 3 made by Olivia Werth, one assisted by Kennedy Ludwig and two assisted by Heather Burkhalter. Evansville scored one goal the first half. Rebel goalkeepers were Ally Einbeck with one save and Emily Benzschawel with two. Attempts on goal were made by Olivia, Heather and Sydney Mathiason. The second half Morgan Seffrood took over goal keeper duties and earned 3 saves. Attempts were made by Olivia, Heather and Sydney with goals scored by Ally assisted by Emily and two goals by Emily one assited by Dani Larraga. Evansville scored again to end the match 6-2. Excellent defense by Kennedy, Allison O'brien and Samantha Ellefson, and offense by Aspen Bader and Alexa Bader sealed the win.
May 14th and 15th, 2011   
This weekend the U-11 Rebel Girls Mustangs competed in the MAYSA (Madison Area Youth Soccer Associaton) tournament at Reddan Park in Verona and finished in first place bringing home the gold. On Saturday morning the girls deafeated McFarland with a score of 3-1. Goals were scored by Emily Benzschawel, Olivia Werth and Brynn Ritschards. Goalkeeper for the first half was Anna Latimer with 5 saves and Morgan Seffrood for the second half with 5 saves. Attempts on goal were made by Brynn, Emily, and Ally Einbeck. In the afternoon the Rebels won against Belleville with a score of 5-2. Three goals were scored in the first half all by Brynn Ritschards, goalie was Emily with 3 saves and attempts were made by Morgan, Brynn and Olivia. The second half of play Olivia Werth scored a goal followed by a goal by Emily Benzschawel. The Mustangs returned to Verona on Sunday morning to take on Evansville and earned a 5-1 victory. Goals were scored by Brynn and Emily the first half and Morgan Seffrood had one save as goalie. Many attempts were made on goal by Emily, Olivia, Brynn and Heather Burkhalter. The second half Morgan earned 4 saves as goalie and Olivia Werth scored a goal, Ally Einbeck registered a goal and Brynn had a goal. With this win the Mustangs finished in first place in bracket A and faced the winners of Bracket B in the championships. The girls played the championship game at 3pm against Mount Horeb. The championship game was very hard fought and excellent defense by Kennedy Ludwig, Samantha Ellefson, Anna Latimer, Aspen Bader, and Sydney Mathiason plus amazing offense by Allison O'brien, Alexa Bader, Heather Burkhalter, Ally Einbeck and Dani Larraga helped propel the Rebels to a 3-2 victory to become Maysa cup 2011 champions. Goals the first half were scored by Dani assisted by Olivia and a goal by Brynn off of a corner kick from Morgan. Mount Horeb answered with two goals to go into half time tied at 2-2. Goalkeeper Emily earned 4 saves followed by Morgan with one save. Morgan continued goalkeeper duties the second half and earned 3 saves. Brynn Ritschard made the winning goal of the game and then excellent defense protected the win. The U-11 Rebel Mustangs are coached by Troy and Janel Bader.

May 21st and 22nd, 2011
The U-11 Rebel Mustang Girls earned two shutout wins this past weekend with a 4-0 victory over the Madison Strikers on saturday and a 2-0 win over the Madison Rockets on sunday. On Saturday Olivia Werth registered the first goal with a penalty kick. Morgan Seffrood was goalie the first half with 3 saves and attempts were made by Ally Einbeck and Emily Benzschawel. The second half Morgan scored a goal, followed by another by Olivia and the fourth goal of the game by Alexa Bader assisted by Ally. Emily tended goal and earned 4 saves. Shots on goal were attempted by Olivia, Heather Burkhalter, Dani Larraga, and Ally. On Sunday Emily scored followed by a goal by Ally assisted by Kennedy Ludwig before the game was called because of lightning. Anna Latimer earned 2 saves as goalie as play was mainly kept on the offensive side of the field by Sydney Mathiason, Aspen Bader, Samantha Ellefson, Olivia, Heather and Emily. Attempts on goal were made by Kennedy, Allison O'Brien and Ally.
June 4th and 5th, 2011
The U-11 Rebel Mustang Girls ended a stellar season and a 12 game winning streak with 2 wins this past weekend to end their spring season undefeated. The Mustangs played a well fought game on Sat. vs Oregon and earned a 2-1 victory. The first goal of the game was scored by Heather Burkhalter followed by a goal by Oregon to tie it up. Morgan Seffrood played goalie the first half and had one save. Attempts on goal were made by Ally Einbeck and Heather. The second goal for the Mustangs was scored by Emily Benzschawel. The second half excellent defense by Samantha Ellefson, Kennedy Ludwig, Aspen Bader and Sydney Mathiason preserved the win. Attempts on goal were made by Morgan, Heather and Ally and Emily Benzschawel earned 2 saves at goalie. On Sunday the girls traveled to Stoughton and had a 10-1 victory to end the spring season undefeated. The first half goalie was Morgan Seffrood with 4 saves. Attempts on goal were made by Olivia Werth, Ally, Heather and Emily. The Rebels scored 4 goals the first half the first by Heather Burkhalter assisted by Olivia, then a goal by Olivia assisted by Heather. Olivia registered the next goal followed by a goal by Sydney assisted by Kennedy. The second half saw aggressive offensive action with goal attempts by Morgan, Emily, Aspen, Allison O'Brien and Kennedy. Olivia earned two saves as goalie followed by Ally with one save. The Rebels scored 6 more goals the second half two by Morgan with one assisted by Dani Larraga, a goal by Sydney, the next goal by Anna Latimer, Dani Larraga earned herself a goal followed by the last goal of the game by Anna assited by Allison. In the last 5 seconds of the game stoughton scored on a breakaway to end the game 10-1. Agressive play by Alexa Bader and Samantha also helped earn the victory. The Rebels celebrated their win and awesome season by presenting their excellent coaches Troy and Janel Bader with a photo book and going to out for ice cream.

U11 Mustangs - Fall 2010!  
Sept 19th, 2010 
The U-10 Rebel Mustangs kicked off the start of their fall season with a 9-1 victory over Mt. Horeb on Saturday. Emily Benzschawel started off as goal keeper and earned 2 saves followed by 3 saves by Megan Benzschawel. Attempts on goal the first half were made by Anika Einbeck, Alexa Bader, Heather Burkhalter, and Emily. The Rebels scored two goals the first half one by Heather Burkhalter and one by Emily Benzschawel.
The second half started off with the lone goal by Mt. Horeb but then the Mustangs really came alive with 7 goals in a row.  Heather Burkhalter had 3 more goals, one assisted by Anika Einbeck. Emily had two more goals one assisted by Megan. Anika earned a goal assisted by Cassi Gersbach, and Alexa Bader had one goal. Karlye Mazahreh-Disch was goalkeeper the second half and earned 3 saves. Attempts on goal were made by Emily, Heather and Alexa. Excellent defense by Kayleigh Nesbitt and offense by Maggie Curtis helped to seal the win.
Sunday Sept. 26
The U-10 Rebel Mustangs took on New Glarus and earned a 3-0 victory. Karlye Mazahreh-Disch was goal keeper for the first half and earned 3 saves. Attempts on goal were made by Emily Benzschawel, Alexa Bader and Heather Burkhalter. Heather scored the first goal assisted by Anika Einbeck. Emily Benzschawel scored for the rebels to end the half 2-0. The second half Megan Benzschawel played goal keeper and had 5 saves. Attempts were made by Heather and Emily with the final goal being scored by Emily assisted by Heather. Excellent offensive help by Maggie Curtis and Megan, and defense by Anika, Karlye, Cassi Gersbach and Kayleigh Nesbitt kept New Glarus scoreless.
October 23 and 24
The U-10 Rebel Mustangs finished of their fall season with two games this past weekend. The Rebels hosted stoughton on sat and earned a 8-3 victory. They traveled to Belleville on sunday and lost 4-1. On a very rainy Sat. vs. stoughton Cassi Gersbach was goalkeeper for the first half and earned 4 saves. Alexa Bader scored the first goal assisted by Emily Benzschawel. Heather Burkhalter scored the second goal. Followed by another goal from Alexa and another goal from Heather to end the half 4-0. The second half Megan Benzschawel earned 5 saves as goalie. Stoughton scored their three goals the second half. Goals for the Rebels were scored by Cassi assisted by Anika Einbeck, Cassi assisted by Alexa, a third by Heather and another by Alexa. Great defense by Karlye Mazareh-Disch, Maggie Curtis, and Kayleigh Nesbitt helped to seal the win.  On Sunday the girls traveled to Belleville for their final game of the season. Megan Benzschwel was goalkeeper the first half with 4 saves. Belleville scored twice the first half, the Rebels attempts on goal were made by Emily, Karlye, Alexa and Heather. The second half Emily Benzschawel earned 4 saves and Cassi Gersbach scored the lone goal for the Rebels with two more goals added by Belleville to end the game 4-1. The Mustangs are coached by Troy and Janel Bader

U10 Mustangs - Spring 2010!
April 10th, 2010 
The U-10 Rebel Mustangs started off their spring season on Sat. April 10th with a 4-3 win over Mt. Horeb. Aspen Bader was goalkeeper for the first half of the game and earned 5 saves. Mount Horeb scored first, followed by a goal for the rebels by Heather Burkhalter and another goal by Emily Benzschawel assisted by Kennedy Ludwig. Attempts on goal the first half were made by Kennedy, Emily, Heather, Alexa Bader, Olivia Werth, and Ally Einbeck. The second half Olivia was goalie and earned five saves. Sydney Mathison was shooting for a goal that was accidentaly kicked in by Mt. Horeb followed by a goal by Kennedy to bring the mustangs to a 4-1 lead. Attempts on goal were made by Emily and Heather. Mt. Horeb scored two more goals to bring the final to 4-3. The mustangs next game will be in Monona Sat. the 17th. 
April 17th, 2010 
The U-10 Rebel Mustangs traveled to Monona on Sat. April 17th and earned a 3-1 Victory over Monona Grove. Aspen Bader was goalie for the first half of play and earned 4 saves. Attemps on goal were made by Emily Benzschawel and Kennedy Ludwig with a goal by Emily followed by Monona's only goal of the day. The second half Emily took over goal keeper duties and earned 2 saves as the rebels mainly kept the ball on their side of the field. Many attemps on goal were made by Sydney Mathison, Heather Burkhalter, Kirsten Kundert, Kennedy Ludwig and Olivia Werth. Goals were scored by Heather Burkhalter and Sydney Mathison with an assist by Kennedy Ludwig to end the game with a 3-1 win. The Mustangs next game will be Sat. the 24th at the Moose Field in Monroe at 10:15.

The U-10 Rebel Mustangs took on Waunakee at the Moose Lodge field and lost 5-2.  Good competitive match.
May 1st, 2010  
The U-10 Rebel Mustang girls soccer team traveled to Verona on Saturday and earned an 8-2 victory.  The Mustangs scored 4 goals the first half by Olivia Werth, Emily Benzschawel assisted Kennedy Ludwig, Kennedy, and another by Olivia assisted by Kennedy.  Additional attempts on goal were made by Sydney Mathison, Heather Burkhalter, and Alexa Bader. Emily and Aspen Bader shared goalkeeper duties the first half and each earned one save.  The second half goalie Aspen earned one save and goalie Ally Einbeck had one save.  Attempts on goal were made by Emily, Olivia, and Kennedy. Goals were scored by Sydney assisted by Heather, Emily, Kennedy assisted by Heather, and another by Kennedy. Great defense by Ally, Phoebe Ellsworth and Elizabeth Grenzow and offense by Allison O'Brien kept the Verona Gummy bears to only 2 goals.  The entire Rebel Mustangs team, coaches and parents would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to our teammate Kirsten Kundert on the loss of her mother Beth Hartwig this week.
June 6th, 2010  
The U-10 Girls Rebel Mustangs traveled to Mt. Horeb on Sun. June 6th and earned a 6-1 victory. Aspen Bader tended goal for the first half and earned 2 saves. Attempts were made by Emily Benzschawel and Brynn Ritchards. Brynn scored the first goal for monroe followed by Mt. Horebs lone goal. Brynn scored again with an assist by Heather Burkhalter followed by a goal by Heather to end the half 3-1. Monroe came back strong the second half with goals by Olivia Werth and two more by Brynn. Hailey Pick earned 5 saves as goalkeeper the second half and attempts were made by Olivia, Brynn, Heather and Emily. Excellent defense by Kennedy Ludwig, Allison 0'brien, Alexa Bader, Elizabeth Grenzow and  Kirsten Kundert kept Mt. Horeb to one goal. The rebels with play their last game of the season at home (moose field) on Sat. June 12th at 10:15.

U10 Mustangs - Fall 2009!


The U-10 Rebel Mustangs had a fantastic weekend with two more wins. The girls traveled to Janesville on Sat. Sept 26 and defeated the Janesville Flash with a score of 4-2. Goalies for the game were Aspen Bader with 4 saves and Emily Benzschawel with 2 saves. Ally Einbeck earned the first goal of the game followed by a janesville goal which ended the first half 1-1. Attempts on goal were made by Kennedy Ludwig, Olivia Werth, Ally, and Heather Burkhalter. The second half Heather scored a goal followed by a goal by Olivia assisted by Kennedy. Janesville scored again but then Heather scored again  for the rebels to seal the win for the Mustangs. Attempts the second half were made by Ally, Olivia and Heather.  Emily, Kennedy, Phebe Ellsworth and Alexa Bader contributed towards the win with excellent defense.  

On Sunday Sept. 27th the Mustangs took on the Stoughton Stampede and came away with a 5-1 victory. Aspen earned 3 saves as goalie the first half. Many attempts on goal were made by Emily, Brynn Ritchards, Ally, Olivia and Heather.  The mustangs scored 3 unanswered goals the first half  Two by Heather Burkhalter and one by Emily Benzschawel assisted by Ally Einbeck.  Olivia took over goalkeeper duties the second half and earned 3 saves with great defensive help by Kennedy, Emily, Phebe and Kirsten Kundert. Attempts on goal were made by Brynn, Heather, Kennedy and Ally. Brynn scored a goal assisted by Heather  followed by the goal by Stoughton.  Ally scored the mustangs 5th goal  assisted by Kirsten  to bring the game to a close.

The U-10 Girls Rebel Mustangs earned another win on Sat. Oct. 3rd defeating Oregon 7-1 at the Moose Field in Monroe. Strong offense was shown by Ally Einbeck, Emily Benzschawel, Olivia Werth, Heather Burkhalter, and Alexa Bader. Excellent defense by Kennedy Ludwig, Phebe Ellsworth, and Kirsten Kundert kept the play mostly on the Rebels side of the field. Aspen Bader was goal keeper for the entire game and earned 1 save the first half and 2 saves the second half. Monroe scored 3 goals in the first half, the first two by Emily assisted by Olivia, and the third by Ally. The second half Emily scored again followed by a goal by Olivia. Oregon scored their goal to bring the score to 5-1. The Rebels kept up the pressure with a goal by Kennedy, assisted by Heather, and the final goal by Olivia.  During the game other attempts on goal were made by Ally, Olivia, Heather, Kennedy and Kirsten.  The Rebel Mustangs are now 4-1 with 3 games left to go in the fall season.  
The U-10 Rebel Mustangs wrapped up their fall season this weekend with two outstanding wins. On Sat.  Oct-17 the girls took on Janesville and earned a 4-1 win with two goals by Ally Einbeck one assisted by Emily Benzshawel, one by Emily and one by Olivia Werth. Aspen Bader was goal keeper for the entire game and earned 4 saves the first half and 3 saves the second half. Goal attempts were made by Ally, Olivia and Emily. Excellent defense by Heather Burkhalter and Kennedy Ludwig kept the Janesville team at only one goal.
On Sunday Oct-18 the Mustangs traveled to Oregon and defeated the Oregon fireballs 8-3. Emily Benzshawel and Olivia Werth were goalies for the game. Earning goals for monroe were Olivia (2), Brynn Ritschards (4), Emily, and the last goal by Heather Burkhalter at the whistle. The team celebrated by going out to lunch.
