U13 Mystics - Fall 2012 - The Big Field!  

September 8th, 2012

The U-13 Girls Mystics had their first game this Saturday vs. the Madison East Velocity at Honey Creek and came away with a 1-1 tie. It was a very evenly matched well fought game with goal attempts the first half made by Brynn Ritshcards, Dani Larraga, Rachel Meier, Emily Benzscawel, and Olivia Werth. Goalie Anna Latimer had one save on a penalty kick the first half. The first and only goal of the game was scored by Olivia followed by Madison's goal towards the end of the first half. The second half Anna also had one save as goalkeeper. Attempts were made by Brynn, Olivia, Emily, Rachel, and Heather Burkhalter. Great defense by Kennedy Ludwig, Samantha Ellefson, and Ally Einbeck kept the Velocity scoreless the second half. 

 September 22nd, 2012

On Saturday the U-13 Rebel Mystics had two home games. In the first they defeated Madison Magic with a score of 6-0, following that they took on the Watertown Force and lost 2-0. The first game goalie Anna Latimer received no saves the entire game due to the excellent defense by Samantha Ellefson, Ally Einbeck, Aspen Bader, Brynn Ritschards and Kennedy Ludwig. Attempts on goal the first half were made by Rachel Meier, Olivia Werth, Kennedy, Heather Burkhalter, Morgan Seffrood, and Brynn. The first goal was scored by Taylor. The second half the Rebels scored five goals. One by Olivia assisted by Heather, two by Brynn one assisted by Heather, one by Morgan, and one by Ally assisted by Heather. Attempts were made by Brynn, Olivia, Emily Benzschawel, Rachel, Ally, Aurora, and Heather.

The second game Anna Latimer again played goalie and earned two saves the first half and one the second half. Watertown scored both of their goals the first half of play. Numerous goal attempts for the Rebels were made by Brynn, Morgan, Emily, Taylor, Rachel, Olivia and Dani Larraga but the girls could not get past the Watertown goalie.

U12 Strikers - Spring 2012!

April 14 and April 15
The U-12 Rebel Strikers had their first two games of the season this weekend. On Saturday the Strikers hosted the Belleville Bulldogs and after a very well fought game that was 0-0 for the majority of the hour, but ended up losing 1-0. The first half remained scoreless with great defense by Ally Einbeck, Kennedy Ludwig, Anna Latimer, Heather Burkhalter, Sam Ellfeson and goalie Morgan Seffrood with 6 saves. Attempts on goal were made by Olivia Werth, Emily Benzschawel, and Brynn Ritschard. The second half Emily took over goalkeeper duties and earned 7 saves. Attempts were made by Morgan, Brynn, and Olivia. The bulldogs scored their goal late in the second half. Offensive players Rachel Meier, Dani Larraga, and Allison O'brien kept up the pressure but could not get it past the belleville goalie.
On Sunday the ladies traveled to Janesville and earned a 6-4 victory. Morgan earned 1 save as goalie the first half and two goals were scored by Olivia one assisted by Brynn and one with a penalty kick. Janesville also scored twice the first half. Attempts on goal were made by Brynn, Olivia, Heather and Alexa Bader. The second half Morgan earned 6 saves as goalkeeper. The strikers scored 3 goals in a row another by Olivia, one by Brynn assisted by Olivia and one by Rachel. Janesville followed suit with two more goals of their own. The final Monroe goal was scored by Dani Larraga off of a corner kick by Kennedy Ludwig. Excellent offense by Ally, Heather, Brynn, Olivia, Rachel, Allison, Alexa, and Ellawyn Fong and defense by Anna Latimer, Sydney Mathiason, Sam, Dani, Kennedy and Aspen Bader helped to seal the win.
April 28
The U-12 Strikers traveled to deerfield this past cold and rainy saturday and earned a 7-4 victory. Goalie Emily Benzschawel earned 4 saves the first half and attempts on goal were made by Olivia Werth, Kennedy Ludwig, Dani Larraga, Morgan Seffrood, and Brynn Ritschard. Olivia scored the first goal with an assist by Brynn. Deerfield followed with two goals of their own. Olivia scored again assisted by Brynn to end the first half 2-2. Deerfield scored their third goal at the beginning of the second half but Monroe came back with two goals in a row to take the lead. One by Emily assisted by Dani and one by Brynn assisted by Emily. Goalie Morgan Seffrood earned 3 saves the second half with excellent defensive help by Heather Burkhalter, Syndney Mathiason, Ally Einbeck, Anna Latimer, Sam Ellefson, Kennedy Ludwig and Aspen Bader. Deerfield scored a fourth goal to tie it up again but then the Rebel offensive really fired up with 3 more goals- one by Olivia off of a corner kick, one by Brynn off of a corner kick and the final goal by Emily. Excellent offensive help by Allison O'Brien, Rachel Meier, and Ellawyn Fong sealed the win.
May 12 & 13

The U-12 Rebel Strikers had an amazing weekend at the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association tournament in Verona shutting out 3 teams before a heartbreaking 1-0 loss in the semi- finals to the Belleville Bulldogs. The strikers first took on the Madison Magic saturday morning and earned a 3-0 victory. Brynn Ritschard scored two goals the first half. Attempts were made by Emily Benzschawel, Winnie Fong, and Rachel Meier. Goalie was Morgan Seffrood with 3 saves. The second half Morgan scored assisted by Brynn and Emily tended goal with 3 saves.

The second game Monroe versed McFarland and earned a 3-0 win. The game remained scoreless the first half with goalie Emily making 4 saves and goal attempts by Olivia Werth, Brynn and Morgan. The second half Brynn scored on a penalty kick followed by 2 goals by Olivia one off of a corner kick from Brynn. Goalie Morgan earned 1 save with attempts made by Olivia, Winnie, and Sydney Mathiason.

The Rebels traveled back to verona on Sunday to face the Madison Velocity and earned a 1-0 victory. Brynn scored the only goal of the game in the first half. Morgan made 3 saves as goalie and attempts were made by Ally Einbeck, Olivia, and Emily. The second half Morgan stayed on as goalie to preserve the win with 4 saves. Goal attempts were made by Olivia, Brynn and Emily.

For the semi-final game the Rebels took on the Belleville Bulldogs. Monroe held them scorless for the first half with 4 saves by goalie Emily Benzschawel. Monroe had many attempts on goal by Olivia, Brynn and Ally. Morgan took over goal keeper duties the second half and earned 5 saves, Attempts were made by Emily and Olivia. Belleville scored late in the second half which sent them to the championships. Excellent defense throughout the weekend was played by Samantha Ellefson, Heather Burkhalter, Kennedy Ludwig, Anna Latimer and Aspen Bader. With offense by Rachel, Allison O'Brien, and Danni Larraga.

The U-12 Girls Rebel Strikers finished their spring season this past weekend with two more wins. The girls only lost to Belleville the entire season with scores of 1-0 for two games and a tie of 2-2 for the third time they faced them, for a season total of 9 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie. On Sat. they faced Deerfield and earned a 3-1 victory. Anna Latimer was goalkeeper the first half with one save, attempts were made by Emily Benzschawel, Brynn Ritschards, and Heather Burkhalter. Emily scored first followed by a goal by deerfield. Ellawyn Fong earned a goal for the Strikers to end the half 2-1. The second half Anna was goalie but had no saves due to amazing defense by Rachel Meier, Ally Einbeck, Olivia Werth, and Morgan Seffrood. Kennedy Ludwig had one attempt and Emily scored assisted by Olivia to end the game 3-1.

On Sunday the girls traveled to McFarland and won 4-2. First half goals were scored by Brynn, Emily assisted by Brynn, and Olivia. Mcfarland scored one goal in each half. Morgan Seffrood earned two saves as goalie and attempts were made by Emily, Ally, and Kennedy. Rachel Meier tended goal the second half and earned one save. Attempts were made by Morgan, Kennedy and Brynn with the fourth goal being scored by Olivia Werth. Great defense by Anna, Aspen Bader, and Sydny Mathiason and offense by Allison O'Brien, Heather, and Ellowyn helped seal the win.  The girls presented their amazing coaches Troy and Janel Bader with a gift and thanked them for an awesome season!

The U-12 Rebel Mustang Girls opened their season with a 0-0 tie in Beaver Dam on Sat. Sept. 10th. The Girls had an amazing well fought game and stayed strong throughout the game. Attempts on goal the first half were made by Olivia Werth, Dani Larraga, and Allison O'brien, Goalkeeper Emily Benzschawel had 5 saves the first half. The second half attempts were made by Olivia, Anika Einbeck and Emily , Morgan Seffrood earned 3 saves as goalkeeper. Excellent play by Ally Einbeck, Aspen and Alexa Bader, Heather Burkhalter and Kennedy Ludwig kept Beaver Dam scoreless.

September 17 and 18, 2011

This weekend the U12 Rebel girls played two home games. On Sat. the Strikers defeated Edgerton with a score of 8-1. Attempts on goal the first half were made by Dani Larraga, Heather Burkhalter and Olivia Werth. Allison O'Brien scored  a goal to end the half 1-0. Emily Benzschawel had 2 saves as goalie. The second half Morgan Seffrood had two saves.The girls really turned up the offensive heat with attempts by Olivia, Heather, Emily and Allison, and two goals scored by Olivia, two by Kennedy Ludwig one assisted by Alexa Bader, a goal by Ally Einbeck and two final goals scored by Alexa. Amazing defense by Aspen Bader kept Edgerton to one goal. On Sunday the girls took on Evansville in the pouring rain and earned a 6-1 victory. The rebels had 4 goals the first half, three by Olivia Werth one assisted by Emily Benzschawel, and a goal by Emily. Attempts were made by Emily, Heather Burkhalter, Dana Larraga and Alexa Bader. Goalie Morgan Seffrood earned 5 saves. The second half Megan Benzschawel took over goal keeper duties and earned 3 saves. Morgan Seffrood had an attempt on goal followed by two goals by Ally Einbeck one assisted by Morgan and the other assisted by Kennedy.

The U12 Rebel Strikers faced some tough competition on Sat. when they lost to Belleville 3-0. Goalie Emily Benzschawel earned 6 saves as goalie the first half and Olivia Werth and Morgan Seffrood had attempts on goal but belleville scored twice to end the half 2-0. The strikers fought hard with goal attempts by Emily and Ally Einbeck the second half but Belleville scored once more at the end of play to seal the win. Goalie Morgan Seffrood had 6 saves the second half also. Tough defense by Aspen Bader, Anna Latimer, Kennedy Ludwig and offense by Heather Burkhalter, Alexa Bader, Dani Larraga, and Allison O'brien made it a very challenging game for the undefeated Belleville team.

The U-12 Rebel Strikers traveled to Madison on Sat. Oct. 8th and earned a 4-2 victory. Goalie for the first half was Morgan Seffrood with 4 saves. Attempts were made by Olivia Werth, Heather Burkhalter, Emily Benzschawel, Kennedy Ludwig and Dani Larraga. Emily scored the first goal of the game followed by a goal by Madison to end the half at 1-1. The second half Emily took over goal keeper duties and earned 7 saves. Attempts from the strikers were made by Kennedy, Heather, Olivia and Morgan. The rebels scored 3 more goals two by Kennedy and one by Morgan assisted by Ally Einbeck. The girls will play a home game this Sat. at the MTX field at 11:00.

The U-12 girls Rebel Strikers took on Beaver Dam at home on Saturday and tied them 3-3. Goalie for the first half was Morgan Seffrood with 3 saves. Beaver Dam scored first followed by a Monroe goal by Emily Benzschawel. An attempt was made by Olivia Werth. Beaver dam scored two more times to end the half 1-3. The second half Emily was goal keeper and earned 2 saves. The offense really played strong with goal attempts by Olivia, Heather Burkhalter, Kennedy Ludwig, and Ally Einbeck. The rebels scored 2 in the second half to tie it up before the whistle. Goals were made by Kennedy assisted by Heather and Ally assisted by Kennedy. Great defense by Aspen Bader, Alexa Bader, Kennedy, Ally, Morgan, Heather and Dani Larraga kept Beaver dam scoreless the second half.

The U-12 Rebel Strikers girls traveled to Edgerton on Sat. and earned a 7-0 victory. Morgan Seffrood was goalie the first half with one save. Allison O'brien scored the first goal for Monroe followed by a goal by Heather Burkhalter and one by Olivia Werth to end the half 3-0. Attempts were made by Allison and Dani Larraga. The second half Megan Benzschawel was goalkeeper but had no saves due to great offensive play by the rebels with attempts by Kennedy Ludwig, Emily Benzschawel, Olivia, Dani, and Heather. The first two goals the second half were scored by Kennedy followed by a goal by Morgan and a goal by Anna Latimer off a corner kick from Olivia. The Strikers will travel to Evansville next saturday for their last game of the fall season.

The U12 Rebel Striker girls traveled to Evansville on Saturday for the their final game of the fall season and earned an 8-0 victory. Goal keeper for the first half was Megan Benzschawel with 3 saves. Attempts were made by Allison O'brien and Emily Benzscawel with goals scored the first half by Olivia Werth assisted by Emily, another by Olivia, one by Morgan Seffrood assisted by Kennedy Ludwig and two by Emily. Great defense by Heather Burkhalter, Ally Einbeck and Aspen Bader kept evansville scoreless. The second half Olivia was goal keeper with one save. Attempts were made by Heather and Kennedy with goals scored by Heather Burkhalter, Emily Benzscawel and Ally Einbeck assisted by Heather. The Strikers finished their fall season with 5 wins 2 ties and 1 loss.
