On May 10th the U-14 Rebel Scorpions traveled to Sauk Prairie and had a very well fought game against a team with twice as many players. The Scorpions played hard the entire game despite having only one sub. The score was tied 2-2 at half time but Sauk Prairie came away with the win 5-3. Lucas Koch was goalie for the first half with 4 saves. Attempts on goal were made by James Frankowski and Dusty Burkhalter. Blake Duffy and James each registered a goal. The second half Ben Prophett earned 6 saves. James scored the 3rd goal for the rebels assisted by Dusty. Attempts were made by Blake and Dusty.
The U-14 Rebel Scorpions took on the Milton Maniacs on Sat. May 2nd and accomplished a 4-0 victory. Lucas Koch played goalie the first half and registered 2 saves as most of the action was on the Rebels offensive side. Shots on goal were attempted by Blake Duffy, James Frankowski, Dusty Burkhalter, Jonah Antos and Matt Hodgson. Goals were scored by Jesse Keizer, Blake Duffy assisted by Dusty Burkhalter, and Jonah Antos. The second half Ben Prophett tended goal and earned 8 saves. Goal attempts were made by Blake and Dusty and Blake scored his second goal of the day to seal the win. The boys will take on Watertown Sat. May 9th at 2:30 at Honey Creek Park in Monroe, it will be their last home game of the season.
The U-14 Rebel Scorpions had their first game of the season on Sat. April 18th against Baraboo United.The Scorpions defeated Baraboo with a score of 7-1. Many attempts on goal were made the first half by Alex Hendrickson, Mitchel Hasse, Dusty Burkhalter, Blake Duffy, James Frankowski, and Taylor Teasdale. Two goals were scored the first half as the rain pummeled the players, James Frankowski scored the first assisted by Jonah Antos followed by a goal by Jonah assisted by Dusty Burkhalter. Colin Vestin was goal keeper for the Rebels and earned 4 saves. Baraboo scored their only goal right at the half time whistle. Then the sun came out and Monroe really turned up the heat scoring 5 goals in a row by James assisted by Dusty, Blake, Mitchel, a second by Blake assisted by Matt, and another by Mitchel assisted by Dusty. Attempts were made by Dusty, Blake, Mitchel, James, Alex Einbeck, and Colin. The second half the goalkeeper was Ben Prophett who registered 3 saves. The Scorpions are coached by Al Keizer and Tony Vasquez.

The U-14 Rebel Scorpions boys Classic soccer team started out their Spring season on Sat. April 26th with a 1-1 tie against the Stoughton Thunder. The goal for the Rebels was scored in the first half by Dalton Curtiss with an assist by Jon Becker. Jason Atkinson had one save for the 1st half. The second half of play remained 1-0 for most of the game with 4 saves by goalie Kyle Bruce. Near the end of the game Stoughton scored to end the game in a tie.

The U-14 Boys Classic Rebel Scorpions defeated the Magic Matadors Saturday at Honey Creek with a score of 6-2. Monroe was ahead 6-0 when the Matadors scored off of an indirect penalty kick, and then scored again to end the game 6-2. Rebel Goalies for the 1st half were Colin Vestin with one save and Kyle Williams with 2. Attempts on goal were made by Jon Becker, James Frankowski, Dusty Burkhalter and Jonah Antos. Monroe scored 5 goals the first half. Bobby Seichter headed in the first goal for the Scorpions with an assist by Jonah. Jon earned the next two goals one assisted by Luke Molinaro and one by Dusty Burkhalter. James Frankowski finished off the half with two more goals one assisted by Dusty. The second half of play Jason Atkinson earned one save in goal followed by Cody Stamm with two saves. Attempts were made by Lucas Koch, Dusty, and Alex Einbeck. Jon scored the 6th goal to earn him a hat trick for the day. Great plays by Jesse Keizer, Dalton Curtiss, and Christian Noriega sealed the win.

The Scorpions played a make-up game against the Magic Matadors on Tuesday night. Jon Becker scored the first goal of the game for Monroe and the first half ended in a 1-0 lead. Lucas Koch had 3 saves in goal and attempts on the goal were made by Dusty Burkhalter, Cody Stamm and Jonah Antos. Kyle Williams earned 2 saves in goal to end the first half. The second half monroe picked up the pace and scored 4 more goals. Jon scored again followed by a goal by Lucas Koch assisted by Dusty Burkhalter. Lucas scored again with a corner kick from Dusty followed by a goal by Alex Einbeck. The Magic scored once the second half to bring the final to 5-1. Attempts the second half were made by Joel Henry, Jonah and Dusty. Kyle tended goal again with 4 saves followed by Colin Vestin.

On Saturday the Scorpions traveled to Middleton to take on the MYSC Black. Jason Atkinson kept goal for the 1st half and earned 6 saves. Play was very rough and Monroe held them off for most of the half but the MYSC scored 3 in a row followed by a goal from Rebel Jon Becker to close the half 1-3. The second half Kyle Williams took over goal keeper duties and earned 5 saves. MYSC scored again but then the Scorpions turned up the heat with a goal by Cody Stamm followed by a goal by Dusty Burkhalter off of a corner kick from Lucas Koch. The Rebels tried hard to tie things up but the final score was 3-4

September 8, 2007 The newly formed Rebel Boys U-14 Scorpions had their first game of the season Sat. Sept.8 at Honey Creek Park. They earned a victory against the Magic Matadors of Madison with a score of 4-1. Every member of the team did an awesome job of playing both offensive and defensive positions. The first half the Rebels kept the Magic scoreless and goalies Lucas Koch and Kyle Williams each had one save. Monroe had numerous attempts at goal with shots by James Frankowski, and 2 each by Dusty Burkhalter and John Becker. The two scoring goals the first half were both made by Joel Henry, one assisted by Dusty and one assisted by John. Great defense by Alex Einbeck, Jason Atkinson and Cody Stamm. The second half of play Kyle Williams played goalie again and earned one save followed by Colin Vestin in goal with one save. 15 min. into the second half the Magic scored to bring the score to 2-1. But the Rebels came back with a vengence with a goal by Jason assisted by Cody, and a goal by John. Attempts were made by Dalton Curtiss, Colin, Dusty(3), and John. Defense by Bobby Seichter, Jesse Keizer, Kyle Bruce, Luke Molinaro, Jonah Antos and Christian Noriega kept the Magic to only one goal. You can see the Scorpions in action again on Sat. Sept 15 at 5pm at Honey Creek Park in Monroe.

The U-14 Rebel Scorpions took on the MYSC Black of Madison on Sat. Sept. 15 and suffered a 4-0 loss. Goalie for the 1st half of play was Kyle Williams with 2 saves due to excellent defense by James Frankowski, Alex Einbeck and Bobby Seichter. Offense kept up the pressure with goal attempts by Lucas Koch, Cody Stamm and Dusty Burkhalter. The Madison Black scored late in the first half to end the half 1-0. Colin Vestin took over goal keeper duties for the second half and earned 8 saves. Jason Atkinson had one goal attempt but the Scorpions just could not get past the MYSC defense.
Monroe Honey Crk 9/29/2007 3:30 PM Scorpions Regent Millennium Shooters
The U-14 Rebel Scorpions Classic team won both of their games this weekend defeating the Regent Millenium Shooters at home on Saturday with a score of 3-1. On Sunday the Scorpions traveled to Platteville and earned a 2-1 victory. On Saturday Colin Vestin tended goal for the first half and earned 2 saves. Numerous attempts were made on goal by Jesse Keizer, Alex Einbeck, Dusty Burkhalter, Joel Henry, James Frankowski and Jonah Antos. The offense did a great job of keeping the ball on our side throughout the game and super defense by Lucas Koch, Alex and James kept Madison scoreless. All three goals by the Rebels were made the first half one by Jon Becker, one by Dalton Curtiss assisted by Kyle Bruce and one by Cody Stamm. The second half Jon took over goal keeper duties and earned 3 saves. The Regent Shooters put in a penalty kick to bring the score 3-1. Goal attempts were made by Joel, Kyle Bruce, Dusty and Alex.
Legion Field 9/30/2007 1:00 PM Platteville Scorpions
On Sunday Monroe took on Platteville and Kyle Bruce was goal keeper the first half with 4 saves. Monroe scored first with a kick by Dusty Burkhalter that was headed in by Bob Seichter. Jon Becker followed up with a goal assisted by Dusty. Shortly before the end of the first half Platteville scored to bring the score 2-1. Many goal attempts were made by Dalton, Dusty, Joel, Colin and Jesse. The second half the Rebels held Platteville scoreless by keeping the ball mostly on the offensive side. Colin was goal keeper but had no shots taken on him, then Jason Atkinson came in as goal keeper and earned 3 saves. Excellent defense by Alex, Dalton, and Bob helped seal the win for the Rebels as Platteville tried two penalty kicks before the game was over. The Rebels made many goal attempts by Jon, Dusty, Alex, Kyle Bruce, and Lucas Koch. The Scorpions will travel to Stoughton on Sat. Oct. 6.
Race Track Road 10/6/2007 3:30 PM Stoughton Scorpions
Saturday Oct. 6th the U-14 Rebel Scorpions traveled to Stoughton and came away with a 2-2 tie. Lucas Koch was goalie for the first half and had 3 saves. Amazing offense by Christian Noreiega, Dusty Burkhalter, Cody Stamm, Dalton Curtiss, Jon Becker, and Joel Henry and defense by Jesse Keizer, Luke Molinaro, James Frankowski, and Alex Einbeck kept the first half scoreless. Goal attempts were shot by Joel, Dusty and Jon.
The second half play really picked up as Colin Vestin took over as goalkeeper and earned 5 saves. Stoughton scored first followed by a Monroe goal by Jon Becker assisted by Dalton Curtiss. Play was fierce as each team tried desperately to score with many goal attempts by Dusty, James, Lucas and Christian. Jon scored again for the Rebels with 15 minutes left to go in the game to bring them into the lead 2-1. The offense and defense worked together great to try to secure the win but 3 minutes before the end of the game a break away by a Stoughton player earned them another goal to tie things up. Monroe kept the ball right in front of Stoughtons' goal and tried many times to get past their goalie right up until the end of the game.The Scorpions record is now 3-1-1 with 3 games left in the season.

The U-14 Rebel Scorpions Classic team traveled to Verona on Sat. Oct. 20th to take on the Magic Matadors and secured a 3-0 victory. All 3 goals for the Rebels were scored the first half. One by Cody Stamm assisted by Dusty Burkhalter, and two by Jon Becker. Goal attempts were made by Cody, Dalton Curtiss, Jon, and Dusty. Lucas Koch earned 3 saves as goalie the 1st half. The second half Jason Atkinson tended goal with one save followed by Kyle Williams with 3 saves. The Rebels managed to control most of the action throughout the game and kept the ball on their side. Many goal attempts were made the second half by Colin Vestin, Jon, Dalton, Dusty, Lucas Koch, Jonah Antos and James Frankowski. Awesome defense by Alex Einbeck, Jesse Keizer and Bob Seichter sealed the shut-out. Their record now stands at 4-2-1. Excellent season boys!
