Welcome to the home of the Missouri Warcats Fastpitch Softball Organization.  Established in 1988 by Jim Lowry and Gary Harris, the Missouri Warcats are one of the oldest, most respected and recognizable girl’s fastpitch softball clubs in east central Missouri.

The Missouri Warcats Organization has helped teach and develop the softball skills of over 1,500 young women as a not for profit entity.  Since 1988, the Missouri Warcats Organization has managed over 200 teams.  These teams have helped a number of young women obtain secondary education scholarships and numerous other career opportunities through a network of volunteers who dedicate their time and passion for the sport.

The Missouri Warcats Fastpitch Softball Organization’s mission is to teach its players valuable life lessons such as teamwork, discipline, commitment, self-sacrifice, perseverance, and fair play.  As we begin yet another season we remember that we are all looking to make a difference in our own children’s lives as well as providing these basic principles to other members of our community.  The goal of the Warcats coaching staff is for each player to reach their full potential as players and teammates.  We welcome all players that are willing to work to make themselves and our club the best.

2nd Annual Jim Lowry Memorial Day Tournament

"A Fastpitch Tradition Since 1989"  - Celebrating over 20 years of Warcat Softball

The Missouri Warcats field competitive 'select' teams for girls ranging from age 8 & under through Women's Major divisions.  Most teams compete locally in area leagues and participate in competitive local, regional and national tournaments sanctioned by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), National Softball Association (NSA),  and the United States Speciality Sports Association (USSSA).  Players and parents who are interested in trying out for a team can find team  contact information below.  Anyone interested in getting more information about the Warcat Organization can contact:

Kirk Landwehrmier - Director (636 577-6787, kirk.landwehrmier@sbcglobal.net)

Former Director - Jim Lowry

St. Louis NSA Hall of Fame 2003, St. Louis USSSA Hall of Fame 2010

Sadly, Jim Lowry lost his battle with diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis on August 24, 2011.  Jim was a rare individual who spent his adult life dedicated to youth sports and his WARCATS.  Click here to see a newspaper article from the Warren County Record newspaper about Jim  http://www.eteamz.com/MissouriWarcats/handouts/ .  The entire Warcat family misses his presence.

3rd Annual Jim Lowry Memorial Tournament

Coaches, the 3rd annual Jim Lowry Memorial Tournament is this Memorial Day weekend at Wappelhorst Park, St. Charles MO. This is a USSSA World Series qualifier with a 6 GG SE format. The tournament is hosted by the Missouri Warcats and proceeds will be donated to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and the Missouri Warcat scholarship fund. Jim Lowry (co-founder of the Missouri Warcats, USSSA Hall of Fame, NSA Hall of Fame) lost his battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis and Diabetes this past year. We will be honoring Jim's legacy at the tournament by recognizing Jim and other Warcat alumni including his twin daughters (Amy - standout at William Woods and Jaime - standout at Mizzou and alternate on the 1996 US Olympic team). This is a special event and there are spots available in all age divisions. For more information please contact Kirk Landwehrmier at 636 577-6787, kirk.landwehrmier@sbcglobal.net. www.eteamz.com/missouriwarcats. Registration can be found at www.stlplaysports.com. Thank you.
