Celebrating Our Silver Anniversary - 25 Years of Warcat Softball!

Welcome to the home of the Missouri Warcats Fastpitch Softball Organization.  Established in 1988 by Jim Lowry and Gary Harris, the Missouri Warcats are one of the oldest, most respected and recognizable girl’s fastpitch softball clubs in east central Missouri.

The Missouri Warcats Organization has helped teach and develop the softball skills of over 1,500 young women as a not for profit entity.  Since 1988, the Missouri Warcats Organization has managed over 200 teams.  These teams have helped a number of young women obtain secondary education scholarships and numerous other career opportunities through a network of volunteers who dedicate their time and passion for the sport.

The Missouri Warcats Fastpitch Softball Organization’s mission is to teach its players valuable life lessons such as teamwork, discipline, commitment, self-sacrifice, perseverance, and fair play.  As we begin yet another season we remember that we are all looking to make a difference in our own children’s lives as well as providing these basic principles to other members of our community.  The goal of the Warcats coaching staff is for each player to reach their full potential as players and teammates.  We welcome all players that are willing to work to make themselves and our club the best.

We will have teams in all age divisions 8U-18U for the 2014-2015 season.  Please scroll down to the bottom of this page for contact & tryout information for each team.  Check back often for updated tryout information.  Thanks!

2nd Annual Jim Lowry Memorial Day Tournament

"A Fastpitch Tradition Since 1989" - Celebrating 25 years of Warcat Softball!

The Missouri Warcats field competitive 'select' teams for girls ranging from age 8 & under through Women's Major divisions.  Most teams compete locally in area leagues and participate in competitive local, regional and national tournaments sanctioned by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF), National Softball Association (NSA),  and the United States Speciality Sports Association (USSSA).  Players and parents who are interested in trying out for a team can find team  contact information below.  Anyone interested in getting more information about the Warcat Organization can contact:

Former Director - Jim Lowry

St. Louis NSA Hall of Fame 2003, St. Louis USSSA Hall of Fame 2010

Sadly, Jim Lowry lost his battle with diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis on August 24, 2011.  Jim was a rare individual who spent his adult life dedicated to youth sports and his Warcats.  Click here to see a newspaper article from the Warren County Record newspaper about Jim .  The entire Warcat family misses his presence.

Former Warcat Kayla Landwehrmier headed to Ole Miss

Former Warcat Kayla Landwehrmier recently signed a letter of intent to play softball for the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) Rebels this coming Fall.  Here's a reprint of the press release:

A four-year varsity starter at Francis Howell High School, Landwehrmier was named all-conference and academic all-conference every year of her high school career and all-state her senior year. Landwehrmier was also an all-district and all-region pitcher while helping guide her team to a third-place finish in the state championship as a junior. Landwehrmier played club and summer softball for the Missouri Warcats and St. Louis Chaos. Landwehrmier was also an accomplished four-year varsity track and field athlete, earning all-conference, all-district and all-region distinctions in the long jump from 2011-13. Landwehrmier was also a state qualifier in the long jump in 2011 and 2013, and ranks second all-time in school history in the long jump with a mark of 17-6. “Kayla’s actually been coming to camp here since my staff took the job two-and-a-half years ago,” Thees said. “We’ve had Kayla on the mound pitching, we’ve had Kayla in the outfield, we’ve had her at the plate and at shortstop. The kid can kind of do it all, but we’re going to have her really as an outfielder. She’s a power hitter, and again, she’s one of those special kids. You don’t have to be from Oxford to love Ole Miss. She absolutely fell in love with Ole Miss and really she’s kind of already been a part of our Ole Miss family. We’re just really excited to have it official and have her join our 2014 class.”
