Welcome to the website of the Miramonte High School football program, home of the Matadors. This is an unofficial website, maintained by parents. Miramonte has 1400 students and is nestled in the rolling hills of Orinda, California about 15 miles east of San Francisco. We compete in the highly competitive DFAL of the NCS. Miramonte has fielded football teams for 49 years and earned nine NCS championships and twenty league titles during that span. JV/Frosh-Summer Camp: June 23rd-27th Gear distributed w/o June 16th, more details to follow Weight-Lifting: June 23rd to August 1st Monday,Tuesday, Thursday, Friday NO FOOTBALL: August 2nd through August 17th PRE-SEASON PRACTICE [FULL GEAR]*: AUGUST 18th -28th (M,T,W,Th,F), exact practice times to be advised SCHOOL STARTS: August 27th Questions regarding the 2009 Football Season, should be directed to Head Coach-John Wade, jwade@acalanes.k12.ca.us, 280-3930, ext. 3555. *REMINDER: ALL ATHLETES MUST HAVE THEIR DISTRICT ATHLETIC CLEARANCE PRIOR TO THE START OF PRACTICE ON MONDAY, AUGUST 18TH! Physicals and medical release forms must be completed (signed & dated by your physician) after July 1, 2008. Other district athletic forms must be turned in and fees paid, to secure "yellow" slip. Players must turn in their yellow slips to the coach, in order to practice. Questions regarding the district athletic clearance should be directed to the Athletic Director, Vince Dell' Aquila.
