Miramar Optimist's Track & Field Program was formed to better serve the growing population of the city of Miramar youth.
We welcome and encourage ALL the resident's of Miramar to come join our family in the 2009 Track Season.
The Miramar Optimist Track & Field program was the first track program in the city of Miramar. We were founded in January of 2001. Our colors are Blue & Gold!!!
For the last couple of years Miramar Optimist operated two track programs an East & West. In preparation for our new state of the art sports facuility name Ansin Sports Complex. We have complied the two programs into one forming the "Miramar Optimist Track & Field Program". Our sports facuilty will be ready for our 2010 track season.
Our club has helped hundreds of children reach their potential in many areas of Track & Field, as well has other sports. We have produced many champions at the Local, State and National Levels within the last 5 years. Since 2001 our club has qualified hundreds of athletes to attend the National AAU Junior Olympics and we plan on continuing this trend in our 2010 Track Season!
If your child just needs to lose weight or to stay in shape for football, basketball, baseball, soccer etc. Our Track program is here to help them. Our staff consists of highly trained coaches so your child can receive nothing but the best training possible.
We will make this learning experience fun for your child, at the end of each season we have a Track banquet (see photo album) were each child is rewarded for his or her hard work.

Look back at our 2009 Accomplishments
AAU National State Qualifier :
We attended the 2009 National Qualifier held at Percy Beard Track University of Florida Gainesville, FL
45 out of 61 of our athletes qualified for the 2009 Jr. Olympics Games which will be held at
Drake Stadium in Des Moines , Iowa July 30th – Aug 8th 2009.We brought home 37 Gold Metals, 24 Silver, 18 Bronze and 17 Cooper We also had 12 Athletes who are 2009 Florida State Champions.
AAU Jr. Olympics:
Miramar Optimist Track Club attended the 2009 AAU Jr. Olympics Games in Des Moines, Iowa Aug 2nd - 9th at Drake University.
We brought home 24 Metals: 6 Gold, 5 Silver, 6 Bronze, and 7 Copper!
