Grandfather

Congratulations and a big thank you to all the volunteers and anyone who is involved in bringing so much joy and excitement to so many kids in southern New Brunswick. I have attended almost all of my grandson’s games this season. I am extremely impressed with the amount of work it must take to have 120 teams form Sussex to St. Stephen all depending on some unseen volunteers doing a tremendous amount of work to make the season happen and culminate in ‘The Day of Champions’.

The season, the crossovers and the Day of Champions, over a thousand games, tens of thousands of hockey hours and an uncountable amount of smiles would not be possible with out the many unseen behind the scenes volunteers. You are providing the opportunity for these kids to make life long friends and life long memories. As a favor at your next opportunity please pat a volunteer on the back and say thank from all the parents, grandparents, hockey players and friends of the hockey players. The objective as stated by the President of the SNBMHL has been far exceeded. Your efforts have produced results far beyond your imagination.

“The objectives of the District Five Southern New Brunswick Minor Hockey League are to provide fun, recreation, and a spirit of competitiveness while teaching fair play and sportsmanship. Our mission is to foster, encourage and improve minor amateur hockey within our district.”

It's wonderful to see that 18 of the 23 Lancaster teams were eligible for Crossover games. Good luck at your Day of Champions game to the 8 Lancaster teams who have won their crossover games so far.
