Welcome to the home of the Minnesota Finishers!!!
The Minnesota Finishers Girl's Basketball program was started by Minneapolis native Shannon Finis in hopes to expand opportunities for girls to play at a higher level. The first and foremost goal of the Minnesota Finishers is to provide a positive experience through basketball. We hope to inspire our girls to follow their dreams in basketball, school and life by improving their skills on the floor, making sure they get it done in the classroom and building confidence in their game and in themselves. Our philosophy is that BASKETBALL is LIFE. There are so many aspects of daily life involved in this simple game and we want our girls to learn the important lessons basketball has to offer. Basketball can literally take you anywhere!

AAU State Qualifier May 1-3
AAU State May 21-23
Battle on the Hardwood June 4-6
Adidas Midwest Classic June 12-14
AAU Summer Jam June 18-20
End of the trail July 9-6
Nike Summer Showcase July 10-13
Also looking at tournaments in Raleigh, NC, Menomonie WI and Cincinnati, OH.
The fee to participate for the Minnesota Finishers is $500. That fee covers uniforms, tournaments and practice time.
The Minnesota Finishers are offering something no other organization is offering! We have 3 practices a week, two team practices and one positional/ individual practice. Throughout the summer we have former DI and DII players coming to help out with individual skill work as well as having former Pro, DI and DII players coming in to scrimmage. This will not only improve individual skills but it will allow an awesome opportunity for our players to play against the best competition they can face as well as have the opportunity to get to know these women and learn what it takes to get to the next level!
This will be the third summer of the Minnesota Finishers, we are improving each summer, setting the bar higher for new teams coming in. Come be a part of something special and let us help you reach your dreams!
2009 schedule:
We are beginning our second season this summer and very excited about our new and returning players! With a little experience under our belt from last season we expect to have a very successful summer! Returning and leading the team for us are two of the best post players in the state, Britta Syverson (MPLS SW) and Mallory Cramer (MPLS SOUTH) with the help of guard Laura Maltby (MPLS SW). These girls will not only provide our team with experience, talent and strong work ethic, but they will be a huge asset to our younger players joining the program this year!
