Milton Aces Volleyball Club: Spring/Summer Camps/Clinics/Leagues

It is a good idea to attend at least a couple clinics or camps in the summer to continue to improve your volleyball skills.

There are several opportunities for Volleyball camps locally.  I have listed a few below.  Also, check-out the Badger Region Web site.  They have a page full additional camp opportunities.

*Milton Summer School's Power Volleyball Camp Booklet July 13th-15th, 9:00am-12:30pm & the 16th, 9:00am - 12:15pm.   Highly recommended.  $4 if you live in the Milton School District.  This course is $24 if you live outside the Milton School District.  The Course runs for 4 days, the week after regular summer school ends.  Click here for a registration form.  The form will say that registration is over but you are still able to register for this course.

Weight Training -Highly recommended! This is also a $4 summer school course ($24 for those from outside of Milton School District)  You can also sign-up for this course after the deadline listed in the summer school brochure.  Click the links above for the form and booklet.   - Monday-Thursday 1:00-6:00 (you set your own time) All Summer.  Contact Dave Soddy, 755-1154

*Milton Speed Camp - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (varying times)- All Summer - Cost $60 - Forms are available in the High School Activities Office, also highly recommended.  Check back for updates.

*UW Whitewater  has several different sessions. Click the link for more information.  In past years most Milton Girls have gone to the 3rd session.  Contact your club coach or director to see if there is a planned date for a Milton or Aces group.

General Volleyball Camps

Resident  - $340     Commuter - $265

All participants will receive a Baden regulation volleyball as a camp souvenir.

Camps Fee and Discount Information

  • Register for General Camps before April 2, 2009, with five other players from your school/club, and receive $15 off each registration.
  • These registrations must be sent in together or the group discount will not be applied. The fee for these camps includes food, housing for resident campers, instructor costs, insurance and educational materials. There will be plenty of awards given throughout the camp, including a certificate for each participant.  


*Milton Aces Spring Youth Volleyball Clinic for boys & girls Grades 4, 5&6

When - Tuesdays from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.   
Cost - $25 each or $40/family.     
The clinic will run for 5 weeks on Tuesdays from April 28, 2009 through May 26, 2009.  An Aces Club T-shirt is included.  Former University of Whitewater Volleyball Player, Stephanie Smithback, will coach the clinic.  Milton Aces Volleyball Club girls are needed to help.  Contact Mareeda McCarthy or (608) 931-3675.

Whitewater Team Camp (JV & Varsity Level)-  Dave Soddy, 755-1154, will have more information about this later this spring.

Edgerton Sweat League there will be 3 High School level teams, one each of Fr, JV, & Varsity, Wednesday night, starting June 17th, 2009.  Look back here for a sign-up form or contact  Dave Soddy, 755-1154.  He will have more information about this later this spring.  

4s on the 4th - We host a 4th of July, 4-on-4 tournament during Milton's 4th of July celebration.  The kids make their own teams and usually come up with some sort of T-shirt for a uniform.  There are different age levels and coed team opportunities.  Start getting your teams together!  Players do not have to be Milton Aces members to compete.

The Summer School Course booklet states that the course is for girls entering 7th - 12th grades, but if you are younger than this and played on a club team this year you may be ready for this course.  Check with your coach to get an "OK" before signing up. 
This course runs, July 13th-17th from 9am-11:45a.m.  This is the WEEK AFTER ENRICHMENT SUMMER SCHOOL CLASSES END.

NOTE #1:  The Summer School Course, Power Volleyball Grades 7-12, will not interfere with signing up for the regular Summer School courses.  You will be able to sign up for this course in addition to both regular sessions of summer school for a total of up to 3 summer school courses.  Be sure to include $4 for one course, $8 for 2 courses and $12 for 3 courses.

NOTE #2:  NonResidents may sign up for this course.  The fee is $20 as described in the Milton Summer School Handbook.

NOTE #3:  The other Summer School Volleyball Course, Volleyball Grades 4-9, is not recommended for club players.  You will have moved beyond this courses' level after playing club ball.
