Introduction

Middleboro Little League teams are managed and coached by volunteers, typically parents of players. Every team, from T-Ball through Majors, needs 1 manager and at least 1-2 assistant coaches.

A committee reviews candidates and establishes a list of potential appointees. The MLL President appoints all managers and coaches, subject to ratification by the Board of Directors. There is no seniority or tenure in serving as a manager or coach year to year.

To be considered for a Middleboro Little League coaching position, simply submit a completed volunteer application along with a resume of past baseball experience to the Board of Directors.


Guidelines

Managers and coaches must provide a positive role model for all players. Please read and become familiar with the Middleboro Little League's rules for your division, codes of conduct, parent handbook, and safety codes.

Managing a Little League team typically begins with a parent meeting. Hold a parent meeting prior to your first practice to set proper expectations and cover logistics. Each parent needs to sign on for volunteer duties during the season, such as running the concession stand at Field of Dreams or Michaels Field.  Anybody that will be volunterring on the field must fill out a volunteer form, so have them handy, and be sure they are returned to your league director.  Below are some links you may find helpful in getting you started.
