| 1st Place Armed Forces Tournament! |
CONGRATULATIONS PILOTS for winning the USSSA Armed Forces Tournament and for following that up by taking second at the 2009 USSSA State 14U tournament and the Lacey Awards Invite!
The Pilots continue to build on the success they achieved last year after a winning season that culminated in a Pony 13 State Championship and a trip to California. We have recently finished within the top 4 teams in several major tournaments, including a first place win in the USSSA Armed Forces Tournament and a 2nd Place finish in the USSSA State 14U tournament and Lacey Awards Invite. We have also qualified to participate in the competitive Puyallup Recreation League's Championship playoffs by finishing with an impressive 11 and 4 record in league play. The goal of Mid-Sound PONY Baseball League is to teach each and every one of our players the basic fundamental skills associated with the "Complete Game of Baseball." We inspire to pass onto our players our love of this "Great American Pastime." Our league is committed to the highest level of play thru the "Dedication" of the parents and players, the "Discipline" of the teams and the "Desire" to commit to excellence. We provide a clean, supportive and competitive atmosphere on well-maintained fields. Our league's coaches are trained and instructed that the kids really do come first. MSPBL has implemented one of the most comprehensive training programs in the South King County area. We expect our coaches, players, and fans to adhere to our "Code of Conduct" at all times. We are all committed volunteers who recognize the hard work that goes into building and maintaining a quality youth sports program. Our philosophy is built on the premise that we can teach more than just baseball. Through baseball we can try to help instill a sense of self-resposibility, compassion for others and sportsmanship in victory as well as defeat. Our primary goal is to develop young men that demonstrate in both actions and words that they are athletes of "Great Character" who are committed to acheiving excellence in the classroom, on the field and in the community. We look forward to seeing you in the coming season. Let's Play Ball!
